I find it funny that the grand canyon is number 5. Every time I go there, there are way too man tourists to take in its beauty so it normally isn't a fun trip...unless you go river rafting in it and camp at one of the basins down there. That's an adventure, not to mention all the Native American folklore you hear about it...it almost becomes kind of haunting at times.

Bookmarked and bookmarked.
I now have many more entries on my List o' Places to See Before I Die.
So little time, so little money...at the moment, anyway. -
There are many countries in this list that were left out, Japan for example or more of Italy
-
Great idea ... tough sell. Since I am proudly Peruvain, I am honored to be #1. But what about the islands? Caribbean? South Pacific (minus Bora Bora)? Mediterranean? Far East?
Maybe they just need their own list ... regardless, fantastic effort!!

Add the Hoh Rain forest in Washington state to this list, I live about 40 miles away and it is jaw dropping.

Once you escape the busy towns and cities and the landscape takes control you can find equally beautiful places with a half hour of where you live. I'm embarrassed to say, though, that despite living not too far from Niagara Falls I've never actually been to see it.

There are a lots of beautiful places in the World and I am blessed to be in San Francisco. One of the most beautiful Cities in the World. "GOD you are so good to me!" Now, we just need to clean up our environment from this man made pollution and we will be in a decent place indeed.
-
Let's be honest there are thousands of places in the world that could have made this list but who's down for making the top 10,000 places just to make everyone happy? In fact there are probably less un-beautiful places in the world. We live in a beautiful world. Did I just quote Coldplay unintentionally? Ug.
[if this gets picked for tv I can't wait for the computer voice to say "Ug."]

Ok they listed the space center, which is nice. However they neglected the whole expanse of the everglades. I guess someone has never seen a sunset while sailing off the western coast of Florida. All those little streams and lagoons turn a vibrant purple and red in the fading glow of the sun. It’s the prettiest thing I’ve ever seen, which reminds me I need to email my gramps and thank him again for the trip.

Just think of how much money we could make selling that land. Or first we could cut down all the trees and sell the lumber. But before that we should hunt all the animals and sell their fur. And after that we can strip mine everything! THEN we start making a dam and selling the power.
The beautiful greenery,
of money.
