  • I think protests on a scale previosly unseen are needed. Maybe when all traffic in the capital is forced to a standstill due to the pack of bodies joind in protest, Cheney might come out of his command bunker, to look out the window anyway. We have to scare them, and show them someone is actually watching their actions.

  • We used to call people like Blackwater "mercenaries" or "war profiteers" - now we have politicians in Washington DC categorize the hiring of soldiers of fortune as "outsourcing" or "privatization" ?!

    That's a neat little trick of language - using a vague, general term, when a more specific one exists - kind of like substituting the word "procedure" for the word "murder"

    Whatever you call it, I hope the "Stop Outsourcing Security Act" becomes law.

  • Blackwater is a mistake. With that being said:

    Well, although applying for citizenship is a short term solution(I to have thought of this many times), it is only running away from the problem. We need to show that we will hold are government accountable. Even if they believe the majority of the US population would rather spend their time indulging in Miley Cirus scandals and the latest contestant to be voted off American idol.

    Ugh... It makes me sick to see how the media is so irresponsible. I am glad to see a glimmer of hope exists within fellow current users.

  • alright all current users lets do this protest in DC in mass numbers so the media cant ignore us and then mabye the rest of the world can find out whats going in the country they havnt heard about because of the bush owned media.

  • I have an idea. Shutting down Washington, DC might be fun, but they have demonstrations all the time. You don't hear much about them. How about we pick some small town by some National Park for our demonstration? Some town that would welcome an influx of cash and a peaceful gathering. Not to shut anything down but to attract a huge number of people to let the world know we don't want mercenary armies controlling our country. People could camp out and socialize and get their point across. Cindy Sheehan camped by the side of the road in Crawford, Texas and made her point. I would like to be welcomed rather than have some outfit like Blackwater sent out to control me. What do you guys think?

  • Democracy is broken and that is why we are getting a private army. These men are mercenaries from all over the world. They went to New Orleans to control the refugees in spite of rescue personnel not showing up. This should never have happened. This is the most dangerous situation I can think of in my lifetime. They aren't the same as the US Military at all. They are never held responsible for what they do.

  • Marilyn_Murray, as I was reading bikefilm’s comment, I was thinking 'DEMOCRACY IS BROKEN' and low and behold when I scrolled down, you had already said it.

    I live in Cleveland and they are prepping us for 'Martial Law' acceptance already. It’s being done all over the country. The other night around 7:00 pm they had a 'police check point' set up on a street near me. to check for insurance, licenses, etc. What went through my mind when I saw it; the flashing lights, the police in the middle of the street, was how easy it would be to declare 'Martial Law'. Add 'Blackwater' 'AMERICA'S PRIVATE ARMY' and they can legally take over OUR COUNTRY! This is not a theory, it's already written.

    Our 'Freedom' is one occurrence away from 'Martial Law'. Really all it is 'Is?', figuring out which occurrence it will be? The preparations have been made. Plus, if that's not enough to scare the poop out of ya? Look into the agreement George W. signed with Canada. George W. can use Canadian Soldiers in the event of 'Martial Law'. Do you think Canadian Soldiers will care what our Constitution says? No, they will do their jobs and keep us in line! Move along! Nothing to see here! And, we will have to! They will have weapons!

  • well , the purpose of "the right to bear arms" was in anticipation of just such a state of things - buy your rifles now ( "Shotgun News" is a good source for just about any firearm you can imagine - SKS's for under $300 ) - invest in your future by using your right to bear arms now . ( awaits the inevitable "serious replies" which always cause me indigestion )

    Just don't move to Latin America... they're on their way down here, too... in Mexico, Colombia, and who knows where else? In 2006, 35 colombian soldiers went to Iraq with promises of big dough by Blackwater. They had their role on Plan Colombia, and now on Plan Mexico.

  • Connie, You are right they have even prepared ministers to calm the congregations when martial law takes effect. It is the implementing of The Project For The New American Century. I'm afraid. I can see it falling into place and the majority of the country is totally oblivious. Just know that is Bill Clinton's fault. We have no news because he destroyed the media.

  • I'm not sure how many here are already aware, but the Department of Defense already has a system in place to crush any "civil disturbances" and it is called Operation Garden Plot. It is not a secret. In the event of what "Big Brother" deems a "civil disturbance" which sort of runs the gamut on acts of civil disobedience the military will be put into place to secure the country.

    Throw the Blackwater mercenaries in the mix and things get real interesting. They've been doing a stellar job so far.

    Eco, Do you have any ideas? I would suggest the Liberal West Coast but that is not what I'd call centrally located.That would certainly add to the numbers though.

  • Did you also know that theMilitary Commissions Act gives then the ability to be our private military while our troops are overseas. Also 20,000 Blackwater agents were inducted into the FBI this year with the ability to shot to kill with out questions. Scary!!!!!!

  • make no mistake - when there are more registered gun owners than there are soldiers in uniform whom can be mobilized at any given time , that's the only thing preventing the US gov't from declaring martial law . freedom through firepower my friends .
