Chinese officials "rescued" nearly 100 children from working in factories in Guangdong Province, near Hong Kong. They believe some of the children were sold by their parents, and others were tricked by employment agencies that lure uneducated rural families into slave labor.
Most of the children were forced to work at least 300 hours per month will little or no compensation. A full time American would work 160 hours per month. They made toys, clothing, and electronics.
