Interesting excerpt:

O'Reilly: "Can you believe this Rev. Wright guy? Can you believe this guy?"

Hillary: "Well, I'm going to leave it up to voters to decide."

O'Reilly: "Well, what do you think as an American?"

Hillary: "Well, what I said when I was asked directly is that I would not have stayed in the church.

O'Reilly: "You're an American citizen, I'm an American citizen, He's an American citizen, Rev. Wright. What do you think when you hear a fellow American citizen say that kind of stuff about America."

Hillary: "Well, I take offense. I think it's offensive and outrageous. I'm going to express my opinion, others can express theirs. It is part of just, you know, an atmosphere we're in today."

----

My favorite has got to be:

O'Reilly: "Can you believe this Rev. Wright guy? Can you believe this guy?"

Hillary: "Well, I'm going to leave it up to voters to decide."

Oh. I didn't realize Rev. Wright was running as Obama's Vice President. Thanks for making the connection Hillary. Reminds me of classic old-school Bush when he would say, "We were attacked on 9/11 and we must respond. Saddam is a bad man and we're invading!"

Subtle Hillary, subtle.

    Hillary is a smart cookie.

She knows her negatives go through the freaking roof if SHE says how horrible Rev. Wright is and how horrible Obama is because he never punched the Rev. in the face.

    So what does she do?

Goes on the Bill O'Reilly show and has HIM say all those things so she can sit back, shrug her shoulders and act as if she is "reluctantly" addressing the issue because she was asked a direct question and had to.

I'm sure Hillary would much rather discuss her healthcare plan instead of Rev. Wright.

    Suuuuuure Hillary. Sure.

This reminds me of that old Monty Python sketch where the guy constantly does the <wink, wink> <nudge, nudge> Know what I mean?

Hillary must have seen that sketch too.

"Rev. Wright is a horrible, offensive American. And you can't help but think of Obama, right? <wink, wink><nudge, nudge> Know what I mean, eh? I mean, Rev. Wright is worse then the guy that drown puppies and then there's....Obama! <wink, wink> Know what I mean, eh? <nudge, nudge> Because every time I think how much Rev. Wright hates America and wipes his arse with the flag and punches little children in the face I can't help but think of Sen. Obama, right? <wink, wink> Know what I mean? <nudge, nudge> Excuse me I have a tickle in my throat. <cough>Obama Hates America<cough>. There! That's better!"

Yep, subtle and devious. What do you think about this Rev. Wright? "Well, I'll let the voters decide." Rev. Wright who unbeknownst to us must be running for President. She subliminally linked the two as one and the same. Smart, yes . . . devious and phony . . . yes.

I'm curious to hear the rest of the interview though. Could be she just "misspoke"? ;-)

"You know Bill, I'm not going to comment on how much Obama does or doesn't hate America and I'm not going to comment on all the dead winos they recently found in his house -- no! I'm here to talk about the issues and not waste time letting people know that Obama is a cannibal and murders prositutes. I'm here to elevate the national dialogue and not gossip about how Obama isn't really an American citizen but a Islamic militant sent to kill us all by Osama bin Laden himself! I'm not going to do that! I won't! Now ask me about my healthcare plan and let's not waste anymore air time discussing Obama's numerous mob connections back in Illinois."

I wonder if anyone really falls for her bullshit anymore?

Just me Crob. The smell of marijuana in Illinois has me very worried too. He has a telephone do you think he might be involved with call girls? Hillary is a jerk. Rev Wright got carried away with all the attention and I wouldn't doubt that the Clinton's are responsible for stirring that pot.

"Did someone say pot?" says Bill Clinton (poking head into comment thread hoping to score)

Personally, I believe there are small isles of sanity on Fox News (at least places where the "journalists" are semi-profession) -- but "The Factor" is not such a place.

There is no way to be dignified on Bill's show. Just like there is no way to be dignified while a monkey throws their feces at you. You can try, but odds are the situation will never rise the the status of serious intellectual discourse.

    Why?

Well, because there is a screaming monkey pooping into his hand and throwing it through the bars at your face! It's pretty hard to rise above that.

Hold on. Let me double check real quick....no. Hillary was not successful in rising above it.

She is just sitting there covered in shit.

Can somebody hand her a towel please?

If Hillary had wanted to be real and moral about it, she would have said that Rev Wright does not represent Obama. NOT THAT THE VOTERS SHOULD THINK OF WRIGHT WHEN THEY CONSIDER CASTING THEIR BALLOT FOR OBAMA, which is basically what she was saying.

Well, Stephen, You can take comfort that she is not only a bitch, she is old too. Plus her eyes bug out like someone whacked her on the back of the head with a 2X4. Don't ever forget the old. Example: That old bitch makes my blood boil too.

Best part of the interview on a network that claims to be fair and balanced on a show with a tagline " The Spin Stops Here" is . Now Senator, what you think that this show is being more fair and balanced towards you as opposed to Obama. COMEDY GOLD!

Jan I just have to say that most of the time I cant help but think that you are the most intelligent person that comments on these stories. Because it seems to me that the rest of the "regulars" have just closed the door to thieir minds and have decided that they do not want to be in any way fair minded or open to a real discussion on any political subject. It would almost be comical if it wasnt something so important. It just never ceases to amaze me how so many people can be so "unREASONable". If someone is making a valid point, it doesnt matter to me which side it is, I can listen and reflect on it. But when people are just deciding that the other team is wrong no matter what, then you have lost me. Every single story I read has comment after comment on how wrong Hillary is no matter what she does. It gets all turned around until it doesnt even make any sense anymore. They have just decided that she is damned if she does and damned if she doesnt and I can tell you that even though I have never been a fan of hers, these arguements have not in any way steered me towards their candidate but have had the opposite effect on me. If the people that support this candidate are this immature and petty then I am starting to think that there really isnt anything behind all these "words". I came here hoping to find informative conversation to help me find reasons to support this candidate, and I sure havent seen any yet!

needu - those of us who have been following politics (some) for sometime may be ahead of the curve, that's all.

You know, not always, but generally I'm pretty good about sniffing out people's underlying motivations, intentions and their self-deceptions. It varies all the time, but there are some real clear indicators with HIllary. She is transparent to me and to others.

Here's the trouble, those that don't see it in others, don't see it because they allow in themselves the same or similar self-deceptions, lies, and are therefore susceptible to that sort of manipulation (if you will), are blind to it from others - due to self-denial.

It's like a part of your brain, because you allow in it yourself - albeit, in most cases unknowingly, you don't realize it when another person is doing it - but some of us do.

It's about personal growth and honesty. Not saying it is not your intent to be an honest person, but you can only truly be as honest with the rest of the world as you are with / to yourself - just saying you could be more in touch with who you really are.

    Funny stuff Crob and Marilyn!

Everyone know's that Rev. Wright is synonymous with Obama. You would have to live in a cave or be completely "spun-out" to not make that connection. Hillary already knows that people make that connection.
