The Man is on fire! Most Burners were enjoying the lunar eclipse when people started to notice smoke and flames coming from the infamous Man, positioned in the middle of the Black Rock City. Officials were on site immediately to combat the flames while onlookers cheered "Save the Man". Eventually the fire was put out and the Man was safe once again albeit very badly charred. These first hand accounts shed some light on the fire but more importantly help to describe the indomitable spirit that lies within the people of Burning Man.

  • intertesting but one comment was "It doesn't matter when they burn it " and that is why the penalty was to harsh,,,,
