Police said the body was found in a shed near Palfrey's mother's home Thursday morning. There was a suicide note, but police did not disclose its contents or how she killed herself.
Palfrey was convicted April 15 by a federal jury of running a prostitution service that catered to members of Washington's political elite, including Sen. David Vitter, a Louisiana Republican.

Why do the women suffer?
-
Considering what has happened recently with New York's governor, and cases like Chandra Levy's, it seems interesting that a woman who potentially had the power to expose some of the more questionable behavior of our politicians has suddently committed suicide. It will be interesting to see how this story unfolds.
-
Like Chandra levy's story did. I wonder if Gary Condit can sleep at night and if so, with who?

very interesting point of view...one that I cannot really disagree with given the little bit of information we have at this point. Won't say it's definitely the case, but damn, it makes you think. -
I knew she'd get offed. It was just a matter of time.
I think I remember her telling all when she was on trial.
-
Somebody wanted her never to speak of them...
Was she cutting a deal?
Really, really not likely she committed suicide.
-
Too many suicides of people that could ruin the powers that be. Cheney was a customer.

Very, very suspicious and Buck19 knew it would happen all along. Looks like somebody very high up on the food chain got their name on a list.
-
Beautiful woman. I will never believe she killed herself. I'm surprised they let her live so long. But then, we don't have a responsible media. She was smart, I hope she left evidence to get them all.

Interestingly former Enron Corp. vice chairman J. Clifford Baxter, former Clinton deputy attorney general Vince Foster, Susan Coleman (law student and associate of Bill Clinton) all committed suicide as well. And then there's Kenneth Lay's convenient heart failure while seeking a pardon from President Bush. A conspiracy theorist could have an orgasm thinking about the possibilities.
-
This is BULLSHIT! She was murdered-taken out by the Government. Don't be so fucking jaded. Why wouldn't they say why and how she did it. sounds pretty fucking suspicious.
-
How is that she can go to jail for racketeering just for profiting from a DC brothel when no one has gone to jail for a the disappearance of a room full of money misappropriated in Iraq?
And, another thing! Women don't routinely commit suicide by hanging themselves. Someone needed her silence rather badly, I suspect. Sump'ins' up.
-
Palfrey suicide is one more human casualty caused by black markets. The worlds oldest profession should be allowed to emerge from the darkness as a legal enterprise.
-
actually 96thday, suicidal women like to slit their wrists and hang themselves, they generally don't do anything to their faces however. i got a few buddies who are morticians and that is one fun job.
in regards to this one, its one less mouth to feed. i don't care.
-
According to the American Journal of Psychiatry, the number one suicide method for women in Madame's demographic is a self inflicted gunshot wound, usually to the head, followed by poisoning or overdose, Diode.

Total government hit job.
/'hung' not 'hanged'

i apparently stand corrected (for her demographic). the studies used in that report however does state its been testing in small groups of under 50 people for some of these "demographics" that the madam fit into. not only that but this is a limited study mainly focused on the rate of premature death of female physicians
and not to mention, this article is from 1999 citing information from the 50's through the 80's. and the fact that some of the information is being brought in by european studies. nor has this article been cited by more than a handful of other studies to potentially show this information being pertinent to today's society
and i may have misread the article the three times i read it and studied its "tables" but me nor my search function could find any information backing the statements you made...
in my experiences in the medical field in the pacific northwest and southwest, i've come to a different conclusion however. i've never once seen a female suicide due to gunshot to the head. i have seen dozens and dozens of wrist slashings and hangings. a lot of them use doorknobs and staircases.
thank you.

"MAYBE WE ALL NEED TO SHUT UP TOO." LOL! Okay? All the spy agencies do have immunity from prosecution when we mysteriously go missing these days.
