let's do something of value with our tax refund -instead of giving it to china, let's give it to the BUSHIES!
-
I wish I could send it back to China where it came from. Borrowing money to give us a welfare check is dead wrong.

Amen sister Twodee. you are right on with your idea.
I already have donated my whole refund. -
Marilynn_Murray, great answer! Unfortunately, I think it's going back to China inevitably anyway if our fellow Americans go blow it on Chinese goods. :-(
twodee & jubal, I like your ideas too. I think Ron Paul is getting some of my cash. -
I'm getting my concealed weapons permit so I can skate at night. Orlando is crazy!
-
I'm spending it on a pair of Mackies made in the good ol' US of A.... but 10% is not a bad idea if you can find a good home for it.

well that is nice.

but I plan to save it to pay next year's taxes, unfort. I pay about 25% of what I make (or so it seems).
It will also be taxed as income next year, so I believe (not 100% sure) perhaps a donation-charity etc, could be tax deductible.
-
I refuse to go shopping or spend it. and that is just my intuition. I already did 5-6 years of not buying anything at target-walmart-urban-HM-IKEA and the list goes on. pretty hard for a mid-20s that most of (my) peers are absolutely fascinated by cheap advertisement and stuff that breaks in one day. not interested thanks, I can probably live without it.

At least donating it to causes that draw attention to the pathetic nature of the Bush policies is where it should be used unless we horde it and allow the "economic stimulus" to fizzle just as is will inevitably do.
Bush is an idiot and if people vote for his newly-created graven image, McCain, the country will simply fold sooner rather than later and there will be no one to even try to stop climate change.
I am afraid this our last chance and we have people like Lush Rimbaugh training foot soldiers in the form of posters like Current's own "Liberal_Extinction" to destroy what is left of the planet.-

I don't know if I'm eligible having been in Japan so long but sounds like a good idea provided it's feasible.
I still can't believe we impeached Clinton and almost got out of office over lying about oral sex while Bush and Co. have led America practically into ruin thru lies and intimidation-

Look you people that are paying 25% tax need to get with the program. You need to start a business and become self employed. It is so much better going corporate minimalist, a corporation of one. Or at least be a sole proprietor, which is easier to get going.
It could help to reduce your tax burden. There are many reasons why people go this route, but it can lead to savings. Your business doesn't have to be profitable for a few years so you have time to deal with the business learning curve. Generally it takes three years to become profitable, but hey look at Google, they didn't become profitable for almost ten years.
Right now government likes business and business gets lots of deductions and credits that workers don't get. So why not become a business and get the tax relief? -
what program ??? your infommerical program ! ha haaa
-
-"So why not become a business and get the tax relief?"
pass, I'll just date Mark Zuckerberg. -
"Right now government likes business and business gets lots of deductions and credits that workers don't get."
ie: Right now government likes business getting SUV's so they write it off their taxes and workers don't" -
I have had my own business for 20+ years and self employment tax puts me at around 25% after all is said and done. I have always thought I was being punished for running my own business.
-
"punished for running my own business."
that's sounds deafeningly familiar. I think you've got that quite right.
It's interesting our founding forefathers had the frivolous notion of "no taxation without representation." I recently heard Wesley Snipes was doing 3 years for tax evasion or something like that. heh... I wonder how much we have to hate our own government before we do something about it.
