"It teaches personal responsibility and that it all comes down to YOU and YOU alone. Once people realize that it’s all them, they become unstoppable because they have nobody or nothing else to blame."

Food for thought.

  • And if they can't help themselves, then what?
  • What a beautiful story Cosmo - thanks so much for sharing it. You know it's said there are no coincidences!

  • Voyager - this is such an interesting topic. When we are able to get into the right frame of mind the universe provides. Getting there is the hardest part!

  • Cosmo! Great story! Love it! My wife and i try and keep this kind of thinking with us every day. She is better than I am but I am learning. This all ties in with Non-Violent communication and non-violent being in the world. In my mind that tries to include not giving much attention to the media noise that wants to keep us turning in on ourselves over and over. There tends to be a constant obsession with who is wrong and who is to blame and when will they fix it and who will fix it. I try to make my world and not have it made by others. THis is never passive. It is an active NO to the bad stuff and an active participation in building a just and right partnership with everything.

  • i am responsible for my own actions.

    yes, we know that, right?

at least it should be obvious...

but then again there is soo many people out there that love to play the blame game...

  • I wish we knew that. I am currently working with people who are not taking responsibility for their actions. It is like an endless chain of blame game while all responsibility sits square in their laps. All I can do is say "look again, look again, look again" I am trying not to blame but instead turning the mirror back and asking for a closer look. When the facts are what they are all we can do is point at them.

I think communities would be better if we as individuals invested more time in our well being/feeling good. My biggest mediation is to glide through the air on my bike in the AM commute when it's foggy and quiet, often sunny, is just the best priceless personal time. Talk about my favorite mood enhancer.

    From the article:
"What about the feeling good part?
The whole thing about the feeling good part is to convey the feeling to yourself that you expect what you want to come. When you don’t feel good, you’re basically sending signals that you don’t think it’s going to happen. Felling good is just another way of implying that you believe you’ll get what you want."

  • I agree with jade. Many people like to play the blame game.

I like to believe that what you give is what you get. If you put out positive energy, then you will receive positive energy in return.

So if you see everything in a positive light, then you'll be less likely to have negative feelings about it.
