Schoolgirls made to strip naked

AT LEAST 16 schoolgirls were made to strip naked by their teachers in eastern India after one student complained she had lost her pocket money.

Officials said the girls in Jharkhand state were taken to a room and strip-searched one by one at the weekend, while teachers looked for the missing money, which was a little over a dollar, Ratan Kumar, a senior police officer said from Dhanbad.

"The order to strip and search the girls was not fair,'' Officer Kumar said.

Many students were crying and begged for mercy, police said.

  • that was a bit harsh for money a little bit over a dollar, plus you do not to do a strip search, you just check the students pockets, then send them on their way

    This is unjust and it must be hard for the girls to recover from this.

  • I guess you can't escape the perverts, they're everywhere, our academic institutions, our religious institutions, our Law institutions. Whoever did this should have their liscense revoked and be imprisoned. I mean, don't children have enough to worry about? like their futures, and doing well in school? This just goes to show you that regardless of any academic achievements no one is distinguished and that includes doctors, teachers lawyers ect.

  • I fail to see why this bit of news is so distressing to all of you. All of you need only to watch the local and national news here in the U.S. to see things that would make this seems as mild and non-offensive as a Sunday morning prayer show.
    I honestly feel that we (as a nation) are the biggest Hippocrates in the entire world. We sit here and judge the news and actions taken place in other nations, but do nothing to correct the actions of our fellow countrymen.
