In April of 2007 Pittsburgh was named the nation's "Most Livable City" by Rand McNally's "Places Rated Almanac." Pittsburgh was compared to 378 other metropolitan areas in nine categories including Recreation (21st), Education (29th), Transportation(35th), Ambiance--arts and culture, restaurants, historic districts (50th), Health Care (66th), Crime (69th), Economy (90th), Housing (111th), Climate (135th). The film creates a relationship between images of the city and these criteria and rankings. The film creates a context for the moniker, by defining each criteria and re-contextualize the ranking for the viewers.
