Child Slaves of Haiti

Child slaves make up about 10 percent of the youth population in Haiti. Driven out of economic depravity, many parents are sending their children to live with others and serve as indentured servants in order to secure their survival.

    This is terrible but what I don't understand is y do these people have so many kids? Knowing that u are poor,starving and can't even take care of 1 child y wld u then have 10,11,12 or OMG 13 children! Considering the economic conditions and quality of life Y have any kids at all? Especially the man who said he was a child slave knowing how horrible it was for him y on earth wld he have 13 kids?! Granted he refused to give any of his kids away as slaves but even w/out being a slave the kids life still sucks. They're still starving and poor with no hope of doing any better. I cld see wanting 1 or 2 kids but 10. Even in America if u made a good salary u cldn'tb afford 10 kids. O.K. one cld say no birth control is available but then Jesus DON"T HAVE SEX!! or jerk off. How cld anyone man or woman think of sex when ur starving? Sex wld be the last thing on my mind I think I'd rather have a bowl of rice than dick. Actually these parents r very selfish for even having all these kids.
