This reminds me of the Jetsons walkways! lol
It seems kind of lazy but I really can't say anything though... I'm from a really flat part of the US, so if I had to start pedaling up those hills every day, I'm pretty sure I'd use it too.-

Norwegians are lazy huh ?
-
AWESOME!! They need that here in San Francisco. Those hills get a little crazy.
-
simple is good!
-
It's not laziness. That looks like a brutal hill.
I'd love to go biking in Norway some day, it's supposed to be one of the most bike friendly countries in the world. -
I'm not saying it's not useful or that I wouldn't use it, but come on... did you see the picture of the guy just riding it up the hill? That's just pure laziness. I wonder how many people ride it up hills like that? lol

I think it's good.
maybe more people would forgo their gas guzzlers if they knew they wouldnt have to pedal up steep inclines.-

i think its practical if the hills are mad crazy. I think a public conveyer belt should be made for people who dont feel like moving any more.
-
Well, I wouldn't say Norwegians are lazy. It's just a way to get you from point A to point B conveniently. Atleast you don't see them pouring in gallons of gas in SUV's.
Besides, what's the big deal. We have Segways, which I think defeats the whole purpose of having legs.-

I think there should be more inventions like this.
Healthier + cheaper-than-driving = yay
go bikes -
that must be useful for those elders.
-
Amazing! Forget e-bikes; e-roads are the future!

Laziness? Look at that hill! I doubt any of us could make it up there without getting winded.
I mean if they were biking for recreation, yeah, this would be silly and maybe even lazy, but since they are using their bike as a regular means of transportation, you don't want to get to work all sweaty and tired. -
Sweet!
-
It would be good for San Francisco but a lot more safeguards would have to be put in place since there would be a ton of lawsuits the way it looks there.
-
how are you supposed to get killer buns and thighs that way?
-
Too cool.
-
Pure laziness?... is the definition of you driving a car,
I think supporting bike transport with simple gadgets like these is brilliant.
Btw the lift doesn't push you all over the city. it pushes you up hill so you can haul ass down it...
I'd use with my skateboard all day!-

If Norwegians are lazy, then Americans are comatose.
-
This looks like a great alternative to driving everywhere...too bad Americans are too fat to use them. We would also sue every time one of us was too dumb to use it correctly.
-
Whens the last time you saw a chunky Norwegian?
-
So much for "Buns of Steel."
-
Nica American pride people...I mean elitists...no, I mean people.

hahahah looks like fun

I have a hard time on the little seat on the rope tow that you catch a ride on a flat surface (or up a little hill) when you are skiing. Falling off of this thing could really hurt.
-
Ok, they could have used a steeper portion of the hill for the pictures.
-
I would love to see this option in the US, it would be a great step forward. I live in a college town and even here there are not nearly enough bike lanes. Maybe switching to this type of bike lift would encourage more people to feel confident riding their bike to and fro. Then we could have more lanes and lifts.
How is this powered? -
They probably ski jump back down, though ;-)
-
heheh Derk you just made me laugh right out loud :)
-
that is so genius.
If you're a person like me who rides a single speed bike around town getting up steep hills is practically impossible and it makes you avoid certain parts of town.
I wish they had this in America-
