In the diary wriiten by the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, its has been reported that he was worried about getting HIV or venereal disease while in US Custody. I dont know if this is news or comedy, but I would sure love to see the rest of that diary......Of some one thousand pages, this is what they choose to tell us. I was hoping it came with a map of where to find those imaginary weapons of mass destruction. Guess I better stay tuned....

The war with Iraq was not some spontaneous decision on behalf of the Bush administration. Since 1991, the U.N. had undergone innumerable frustrations in dealing with Saddam's weapons stocks.
There were 17 U.N. resolutions since his invasion of Kuwait that he refused to follow. He denied IAEA inspectors to do much of their job. It is understandable based on the region of the world he governed. His objective was to keeping the U.N. in a state of limbo searching for weapons with limitations while still projecting the image that Iraq had the weapons to the nations in the area. Saddam hoped that we would get too frustrated to continue the inspections or that he would buy enough time to develop the necessary weapons. He was betting that the war would not happen or happen that soon. Fortunately, he was wrong.
I would suggest that you go ACTUALLY READ the 17 resolutions and understand what they say before you assume that we just started this war on a whim. Knowledge is much better than stupid slogans or propaganda.

Dear BleachedBlind,
Usually I do not respond to post that imply that my education is somehow limited, but for you I will make an exception....
First, not only have I read every single resolution that pertains to this Iraq war, but I have also read the many books published on the issue, as well as other resources that have been published by sources other than the UN and the US State Department. You should try that. Then get back to me.
Secondly, this post was about series of diaries written by a dictator that included over a thousand pages of information. I was simply implying that it would be nice if we could get some substance instead of discussing a silly dictators fear of catching HIV from a clothesline. Are you afraid of substance?
So inclosing, I would like to thank you for your comment, but trust me, I no longer have to spew slogans or propaganda to show how this war, regardless of how we got into it, is a massive policy failure....see if you can find that at the statedept.gov.
Have a nice day. -
raheims my friend,
I think there might be a little misunderstanding. I was replying to this part of your statement, not your education.
"I dont know if this is news or comedy, but I would sure love to see the rest of that diary......Of some one thousand pages, this is what they choose to tell us. I was hoping it came with a map of where to find those imaginary weapons of mass destruction. "
Thank You for the referrences, I will check them out.
Blessings! ;)-
