Drug-free miracle man beating HIV
PETER Smith will never forget the day his body declared war on HIV.
It was July 29, 1981, the day Prince Charles married Diana Spencer. As millions sat glued to the TV enjoying the illusion of a world momentarily caked in fairytale innocence, Smith lay wracked by fever in New York, his immune system fighting the virus.
Smith, who lives in rural Victoria, didn't know what he was fighting. The term AIDS was not coined until late the following year, and it took until 1985 for a virus to be identified as the culprit. No one knew that a severe flu-like illness was the sign that the immune system had suddenly woken up to the invader in its midst. Even if they had, there was nothing, then, that anybody could have done about it.

I have found that many diseases can be prevented or controlled by strengthening of your body and mind.
Even deadly ones.
US Media is not reporting this.

Thats amazing. Carolyn is right. I've heard an increase in reports of people fighting off or at least putting a disease in submission from healthy diet and activity. It's amazing how strong the body can be when given a chance to fight.

Good for him! I hope he lives a long life and that I never get aids.
-
There are some people that have been exposed to AIDS but because of their genetics, they don't have a CCR5 receptor on their T-Cells, which means that certain strains of the virus cannot attach to the white blood cells. It's quite rare, but it lead scientists to discover a new anti-AIDS drug, Maraviroc, that inhibits this CCR5 receptor.

@carolyngillis:
its not just any virus they are fighting... its aids.
i know there are other virus's in the world that people are dieing from. but its awful its mainly gay people that were getting this virus. its just not right. we really need to do something about this.-

thanx sweetdeal, you are correct, not that you need me to say that obviously..... mst people dont know that stuff but these combo drugs are all in there infancy.even crixivan, i recently asked my dr. about this and he was not yet convinced of its efficacy and longterm side effects. But he is hopeful for me but very cautious, with new drugs.I am a long term survivor of this disease, I also have cirrosis of the liver stage 4 followed by a charming episode with stage three cancer of the head and neck, masticized through my lymph glands,,i was given a short time by some drs. others told me to settle my affairs , however you put it your dead... well here i am chemo radiation liver treatment which sucks by the way, surgerys, well i that was about a december ,i changed some more things in my diet found a good life coach instead of a reeper, the changes where devestating almost crippling at times but mentally and spiritualy i was strong, adition and subtraction, take out more bad things put in more good things. foods , feelings , support, even some medicine. it all works well together, well yesterday, i had my feeding tube removed, wow i feel human again, but what the drs. have said i should not be walking or talking or anything at this point I am now preparing to start sharing my story and could use some help, this guy is also lucky in another sense, his body is not willing to play host to any foriegn bodys looking to rent space. i am a bit off still so forgive my poor typing, but it is a consortium of good things that is the most important to mind boy and spirit, this guy has great kharma around him.

Wow. I didn't think there were people who could survive hiv on their own. Quite remarkable and exciting. Trying to figure out these people seem like a really good place to start.
-
ditto Neghie, that is the most remarkable story I have stumbled on in some time. I wish plenty of others the immune system this man has been blessed with.

Global problems, it isn't actually a 'gay virus' anymore, far from it. The rate of infection of heterosexuals is increasing, whilst for homosexuals it is decreasing, since awareness was targetted at homosexuals during the 1980s.

I honestly believe there is a cure for everything. Not necessarily a medicine. Sometimes we just have to trust our bodies. Good diet and excercise can take your body a long way!

mind over matter...
-
I have had HIV for over 30 years of my life. I am turning 47 in October. I only started taking the HIV medications in 2000 after having had a near death experience in 1996.
My T-Cells were at ZERO.
I survived a very high fever of 106 for over 10 days. It was a miracle. I am very grateful to be alive.
In 2000 I made a documentary about my experience with HIV and I attribute it to "spirituality", "mind over matter", "determination". If you would like to check it out I have provided the link here. -

They did not expect that there are plenty of people who abused people using pathogens.... please welcome my true identity, the one who carry a fungi inside a brain for many years due to an accident that makes me ill.
-
"Do they ever realized that viruses can be achieved through the environment and not just in the body contact itself? I am one of those people who are being a victim of sabotage inside a Coal-fired Power Plant.
An accident might also bring hazards to our brain that causes us in vain even in our life and mental capability." -
global problems... unfortunately you can't catch stds from sitting on toilet seats. they dont incubate outside the blood :P hence why they have to be transmitted through excahnge of bodily fluids.
