Pictures of the refueling station of the GREEN FUTURE.

Leave it to Honda, when American Car companies can't get their act together.

I did everything in my power to buy American for years. Finally one day I said enough is enough and I went out and got a HONDA.

Three years later. Three new ACCORDS later.

I am sold on the company.

Not one service visit. Not one problem. Great gas mileage and the 4 cylinders will flat out GO.

Will be buying another one and that is saying a great deal coming from me.

Would I rather buy a CHEVY, SATURN, FORD, YOU BET.

BE REAL HARD NOW TO BRING ME BACK unless it was a TRUCK.

A Hydrogen fuel cell TRUCK maybe.

I am very big on boycotting energy companies, and all big caps who seek to control this Country. I don't see that with some of these excellent international companies and so they will get my support and my consumer consideration.

WHAT WENT WRONG WITH BIG CAP IN THIS COUNTRY? GREED.

  • Hey, that also give us something to do with all that ruined gmo soybean crop.

Seriously you can have a car powered by the sun? Now that is awesome, I don't know much about it, but it has my attention.

Thanks for the info, when can we buy one?

  • That solar roof that is displayed on the ad seems to be able to generate solar power for the entire home. This is a very positive technology. Gosh I can just imagine the possibilities. All that money we have spent on the war we could have solved our energy crisis, and had fun doing it. This is so positive and gives me hope! Thanks!

    We just need good leadership

  • We need a system that can siphon hydrogen from water and stop profiteering from people constantly needing some form of "go juice" for their vehicles. It would also be nice it would filtrate the water so one could use from tap water to sea water to sewage. But people aren't give up a great chance to make some money. Thats why I always find myself wary of new auto technologies because when you're designing the vehicle you can make sure they have to continue buying your products to keep it going.

  • The difference between Japan and America is honor is all important to the Japanese. Greed is all important here.

i have no problem with profits, as profits allow JOBS.

Honor is also here. You simply must know where to look for it. I find it in the mom and pop, small cap, mid cap, GREEN and LOHAS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT area.

I also find it in other areas here that are both social and non-profit. Friendship is KEY.

It is still possible to work on a handshake here but you must be willing to reach out and build those relationships over a life time.

My feeling is International BIG CAP values OUR GOLDEN EGG MARKET, AS THEY SHOULD.

I could see advancing this HRS model with the right INCENTIVES. WITHOUT INCENTIVES everything tends to go in SLOW MOTION. Even with Incentives everything takes time.

    HOWEVER A GREEN FUTURE COMES.

  • I love Honda also.
I have a '96 old Accord with 160,000 miles on it.
It is my baby..dog hairs dents and all.
The car has structural integrity, lacking in US made cars for the most part..of the ones I have owned
The engine is built vertically like an airplane I guess from what I hear.
I have gotten to the point that all I do for the most part is put in gas and change oil...I don't want to part with it..might have to to use another type of fuel source.

I love that Honda has these fuel cells. It is encouraging and i want one for my house!

The people of the USA can do so many cool things but we need the leadership to get that point.

We can have friends all over the world..see how quickly they connected to us when 9-11 occurred. Bush spoiled it as he spoiled the rest of our once great country.

  • 1Eco_Media. I wasn't taking about our people, Of course they are honorable. Big business should have been in there. Insomnia shorthand doesn't make sense sometimes. I was thinking about the electric car, that was smashed. The trolley lines that were bought up and destroyed in some cities. Things that are driven by sheer greed. Obviously trolleys, cable cars, are things that left alone would be used, those people riding them in San Francisco aren't all tourists. That we don't have an electric car is criminal.
  • We fight. We resist. we argue. We complain. We choose sides. While others are just going forward with invention and positive movement. It is not just the media's fault that we tend to get all the bad news on TV etc. We obsess over our human struggle rather than celebrate our wisdom. Inventions like this are happening while we constantly twist ourselves up over "he said she said," gender, race, sexism bla bla. we can't stop boxing ourselves up into categories as if the most important thing we have to do on Earth is make sure the divisions between people are constantly drawn out and clear. This is an example of human vision and participation in positive forward thinking. We need to get on with it. We need to be the wiser humans. We need to be less enamored with ourselves and more in touch with our nature. That we are not doing this is not the fault of our governments, religions or economies. It is the fault of each one of us who is not participating on an individual level to shift away from ego and towards humanity. This only feels impossible when we think we need to change others. It is completely do-able when we look at ourselves and make the change. Suddenly we will look around and see a better place. Not because "They" changed. Because "You" did it and "I" did it. What is stopping us from doing this? Turn down the noise and make it happen.

The whole world does want to LOVE US but they can't believe we could be so RIPPED OFF and NOT SEE IT.

What they may not understand is our BIG CAP MEDIA is in on the whole SCREW JOB and most people here are simply working 24/7 just to pay the BILLS. Millions still only get their news from CHURCH or talk radio and they are still BLINDED to the truth by FAITH.

MOST OF THEM, WONDERFUL PEOPLE just willing to believe whatever the so called RIGHT LEADERSHIP tells them. THIS DONE TO HOLD ONTO THEIR JOBS and old belief, which I truly understand.

WILL THEY BUY THIS TYPE GREEN FUTURE?

I SAY IN TIME MANY WILL REGARDLESS IF THEY ARE BLUE STATE OR RED STATE. IN THE END WE ARE ALL GREEN, IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT.

HONDA IS SMART ENOUGH TO GET THAT.

  • Here is just a little snapshot of what one company working in the sustainable energy field did today on the stock market.

    --------------------------

Energy Conversion Devices rallies 37% after swinging to gain
    11:50a ET May 8, 2008 (MarketWatch)
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Energy Conversion Devices Inc. shares are rallying 37% to $47.77 after the manufacturer of thin-film flexible solar laminate products for buildings and rooftops swung to a third-quarter gain of $7 million, or 17 cents a share, from a loss of $5.4 million, or 14 cents a share in the year-ago period. Revenue rose 24% to $70 million. Excluding charges, the company earned 25 cents a share. The Rochester Hills, Mich. company beat the forecast for a loss of 2 cents a share, according to an analyst survey by FactSet. The company confirmed plans to add 120 megawatts of additional capacity to its existing Greenville facilities. ECD will internally fund the expansion through available funds and cash flow from operations.

  • Go Honda!

I've owned three Hondas (all Civics) and loved them all dearly, even the 1985 oxidation special. :) One thing I can say about their motors: bulletproof. Also their seats are very comfy and they're immensely practical while still looking stylish.

  • Real leadership on these issues, instead of two oil men running the show
  • This is a positive plus for all of us. Just keep the Bushes and the Arabs away from it. They for sure would not want this to get in the way of thier greedy plan. Henry Ford was on to a good thing with Hemp until the US Government found out and taxed him so much that he gave it up, and as you all know he was anti Governemt ever since. Ford was on the right track but big oil stopped him. Check it out. Ford is improving by leaps and bounds and has the best ratings for reliability and saftey bar none. They are working on Green tech you can bet on that. they are heavily vested in renewable energy just as Henry was in the 1930's before people like Bush got in the way. I think they have taken up where Henry left off before Big OIl and Government stopped him with taxes.

  • I could see this expanding nationwide in time, however my guess is Cal. will get the first major attention because of their air qual. objectives.

A great deal will depend on the pricing past the HRS model and into homes.

If you think of it as a home gen. then it is possible to see it's true potential. Again price will matter. My guess is Honda has already considered that important FACT.
    1Eco_Media
  • i like the idea of selling both the cars and the HRS designs for the home.

If they design a new green marketing model around the new company that would be ideal.

Service after the sale would require trained support staff with each marketing and service location.

  • Now this is what is going to help the world the US and our pockets out. Its not going to be tax holidays or ethanol cars. Its going to be Innovation and technology.

Honda has my respects for introducing the first ever hybrid to the US (althought it was in the late 90s and no American cared about gas prices or the enviroment) And now the first fuel cell in the US again.

So if you have the money or resources please buy a hybrid or a fcx. I mean all I see is rich people still buying SUVs and sports cars, because they have the money to afford these high gas prices. Believe I dont have the money but if I did I would get a hybrid or a fcx car in a beat.

  • This is all fine and dandy. In the ideal world, everyone would want to gear the cars and homes with solar energy. However, to convert/install to solar energy is no cheap modification. Would you be willing to go into debt and become enslaved to another group of profiters (BIG loan companies) for something that will take years to reap the benefit (but by then, it would be time to buy another, thus incurring more debt) and for a cause (Global Warming) that is inevitable (whether we create or not).
