    Unfortunately there exists a complete misunderstanding of Islam in our government up to the highest levels. Hopefully Hasan can do a lot to educate people on what being a Muslim really means.

    Great story for TV. I'll be watching CO 56 in the fall because of this pod. Hassan's got a great mission, but he doesn't sound like he's ready to hold public office. And that has nothing to do with his religion...

    Let's not forget Bush wouldn't have become president without the Muslim vote. Yes, you heard it well the Muslim vote. About 80% of Muslim voters in Florida voted for him.

    I would have liked to see the other side of the issue: the racism that doesn't and wouldn't come out to his face but probably casts a bigger shadow over his odds.

    Getting that on camera is tough unless you're Borat :-)

    This has to be the mother of all identity crisis'. I commend his willings to toss his headgear into the arena. He should have taken his head out first. Brave dude though.

    I definitely think it's great that he's running, and that he's trying to show Americans about the true nature of Islam. Thumbs up, for sure. I'm not a Republican, but I have a lot of respect for him.

    I think it's awesome what his whole idea was but I would not vote for him. I am personally not republican and I don't like what they stand for in my personal views.
    Furthermore I got annoyed for Colorado being displayed as that.
    Keep the wild west the wild west?
    I have lived in Colorado my whole life what bs.
