Unfortunately there exists a complete misunderstanding of Islam in our government up to the highest levels. Hopefully Hasan can do a lot to educate people on what being a Muslim really means.

Great story for TV. I'll be watching CO 56 in the fall because of this pod. Hassan's got a great mission, but he doesn't sound like he's ready to hold public office. And that has nothing to do with his religion...

Let's not forget Bush wouldn't have become president without the Muslim vote. Yes, you heard it well the Muslim vote. About 80% of Muslim voters in Florida voted for him.

I would have liked to see the other side of the issue: the racism that doesn't and wouldn't come out to his face but probably casts a bigger shadow over his odds.
