According to the Guardian, the home secretary is to talk today about how she believes badly behaved youths should be openly filmed and hounded at home to 'make their home lives as uncomfortable as possible'.
She is to recommend police forces across the country follow Essex police's initiative in which regular offenders have been 'framed and shamed' - been filmed and repeatedly stopped in notoriously bad estates. The operation in Essex has reportedly being successful, but has raised human rights issues about such tactics.
Jacqui Smith is also set to announce that people being reprimanded with an ASBO isn't working, but will counteract these failings by stressing the use of parental orders has increased.

Why don't they set up an initiative for the youths to film themselves write scripts, edit and learn something about creating something positive as a group.
If you treat people like idiots they will continue to act like .........
The youth of today need direction not ostracizing.-

The plot thickens...now they are advocating filming degenerates doing what they do best causing mayhem. When will this society stop perpetuating indecency by exalting bad behaviour.
These are kids...! the problem started while in their formative years with the crazy cocktail of bad parentage and an educational system that was put in place to dumb down these kids to the gain of the 1% at the top to easily dominate rule effortlessly. Because I don't see how in majority of primary schools truancy and unruly behaviour is the norm and to those who actually turn up for classes they are being taught utter rubbish in the guise that spellings don't matter! When kids are being told they have rights but no obligations the society that ensues is very much like what prevails now.
Society needs to look back to what worked in the past if the future is proving too dire to contemplate. Introduce discipline in order that conformity with society at large entrenched early in these kids before it becomes futile. -
have either of you guys hung around a bad estate lately ? i think its pretty funny filming them works, making d*ck heads feel uncomfortable works better than violence and sentencing.

Listening to Ms Smith read this out she wants persistant offenders to be givien a total shake down.
Car tax & Insurence , Council Tax, TV License for their plasma.
Kewl, make the people that blight our community pay.
"If persistent offenders know that they'll be able to get away with it, then they will, by definition, persistently offend," Ms Smith said.
