The Roman Catholic Church is opposing a nudist beach festival in Sicily billed as a “celebration of nudity” over fears of an invasion of naked sunbathers.

Being a former member the chuch and now an agnostic...I find this whole ordeal to be comical. To all Catholics who oppose this event takeing place, I have a simple message for you...LOOK AT ADAM AND EVE! The only reason it's taboo to be naked in public is because society has changed things around, and made it so. During the early ages of mankind, being nude was the norm...I mean, we're all supposedly born "pure" and...naked. It's no big deal, it's only skin. And if you still have your heads burried in the sand, you can look up some modern-day tribes who still either live nude, or partially-nude lifestyles.
Also, if people want to wear clothes...Let them. There are plenty of beaches they can go to where they can wear their bathing suits and be happy. Just because a group of people doesn't believe in the exact same they do, doesn't mean you should rule them out. It's America after all...-

What a pile of hypocrisy... it's how we are born and how we were created by their God after all, isn't it?
