Not long after the polls close in the May 20 Kentucky and Oregon primaries, Barack Obama plans to declare victory in his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.
And, until at least May 31 and perhaps longer, Hillary Clinton's campaign plans to dispute it.
It's a train wreck waiting to happen, with one candidate claiming to be the nominee while the other vigorously denies it, all predicated on an argument over what exactly constitutes the finish line of the primary race.

By then, he will have nabbed it anyway. Despite that though, Hillary is still going to be campaigning for the nomination the 20th of January when a Justice is trying to swear in Obama. But, that desperate state of denial is her train wreck, not Obama's, not the DNC's, and not the nation's. The voters have spoken in every primary, saying it's time to bump up the New York Senator's lithium, and pitch in the prozac, before we fit her overwrought tail for a straightjacket. It's time to move on with putting out some of those burning bags of poo Dumya and Dick Vader have left behind, starting with bombastic sack of doo called McCain.

if all cinton is expecting is for something bad to happen while continuing her violent manners, then all obama can do is continuing paying attention to true matters like the smoke screen of gas tax and allowing us to judge whose talk is corrosive and whose isnt
enticing though is the idea of hearing the words "fifty states" in his statement, if he were to take both kentucky and oregon, even if losing west virginia
although, there is no need for any of that to happen, at all

sometimes reason leads to action, right?
just like there is no need for those in power to go coo coo and call an official police state after declaring martial law cause of a self created large social disturbance, RIGHT?
chillin the mind is not easy, we should all try harder -
Just join together for God's sakes.

I would not vote for Obama/Clinton. That's a posioned olive branch if I've ever seen one.
How far has she gone to attack him in the race? Who's to know she wouldn't plot to take over the White House for herself? And lastly, I don't think it's a good idea to give her that amount of power.
The Clinton era in presidental politics is over now, primarily because she turned her back on the people to attack her Democratic counterpart.-

Farewell 43, I am not ready to celebrate the departure of George W. Bush until the next president is sworn in. The Patriot act has a provision that allows the presiding President to cancel the election under a catastrophic state of emergency including, war, terrorist attack, or severe natural disasters.
The Bush administration is already gearing us up for an attack on Iran. Do not be surprised if this is used to cancel the election. -
You're thinking what I'm thinking Uroborus. I'm crossing my fingers hoping Bush doesn't pull any shiesty moves before 1-20.
I'm super irked with hillary. I'm not in love with either candidate to say the least, but seriously, she can't pull this out of the bag. She needs to tell people to rally behind Obama and focus on defeat of McCain. I understand how bad she wants it but, c'mon.-

Look at the electorial college map from 2000 and 2004. Both identical, both losers. Who can change them? Clinton gains Florida and/or Ohio, either enough for a win, plus Arkansas for good measure. Obama loses Michigan and/or Pennsylvania. He has no chance in November.

Good thing you're the only person who can vote, JohnA, or our country might be headed down the wrong path.

Just speaking the plain truth, no offense. Florida and Michigan are alienated, she won Ohio and Pennsylvania. The coasts are set, the south is set. He might take a western state, but not big enough to win. And she's the only one that can take any southern state besides Florida, being Arkansas. The Electoral College is very simple, I don't like it, in fact I hate it, I voted for Gore, but that's the rules we live by.

Way to go Barack Obama!
It just seems like a premature victory, Theres still the superdelgates, florida and michigain. then theres this... according to some sources the "illumanti" which clinton has ties to who will put her in office regardless of how much support Obama has.
Personally im skeptical of that story but if she makes it I will be very suspicious.
Wow nice words v down below v jan what amazing points putting it into perspective. 8 years to make up for so it doesnt matter who it is the damge is done.
what are the implications of that? I mean IF we by choosing not to have a third bush term in the form of mccain by choosing to end this war somehow and by choosing to respond to global warming, wont those actions have implications of themselves and different cause and effects?-

Hmm... so votes really don't matter to him? Other states with primaries with people looking forward to voting regardless of the outcome don't matter? Just his ego matters? And 'victory' to do what? Reign over the Constitutional mess and quagmire left by Bush and these traitors he didn't have the guts to call impeachment for? Good luck. It will take him four years just to get through the crap. Nothing will get done otherwise and he will have no legacy to speak of and be a one term 'president.' And actually, that applies to Clinton too or whoever when you look at this realistically instead of romantically.
It will take at least a decade or more to even get partially back on track to even having this country be recognizable after what has been allowed by us and this Congress to take place in this country and out of it in the last eight years. Those who think being 'president' of this country is some sort of "honor" that everyone wants should look at history. Washington didn't want it, Jefferson didn't want it, and Adams didn't when he saw it was not all it was cracked up to be. Personally, I think any man with real honor wouldn't "want it," but then, these days it is more like a being king than just one of the people.
Let's just also hope that with the preoccupation on this one office we don't wind up losing the Congress... not that it would matter much...Democrats can't even get anything done with a "majority." How sad is that? So yes, go ahead, take the 'presidency' and the ego stroking and balloons and parties that go with it. But in the dead of night when the reality and weight of it all sinks down on his shoulders, will all that matter? Declare 'victory.' That is, provided this country isn't even more destroyed by the time January 20th rolls around since those in this Congress allow them to retain full power in light of their crimes.
And it is so telling to see people who cheered John Edwards when he stated he was in this to the convention because not all had been hreard, to now be trying to stifle those same voices just because they moved to Obama. You know, perhaps Democrats might actually 'win' an election fair and square if they inspired people to be a part of this process. Letting them ALL vote in primaries where their voices are not usually heard is certainly one way to do it. How that "hurts" the "party" I don't understand. I would think hurting this country should be our first concern. This isn't about Obama, this is about the people. And those who put Obama, Clinton, or anyone above the people are no different really than those who do it regarding Bush.-

w/ super ppl, she needs 68%
having said that, clinton won rhode island w58%, ny57% and who can forget arkansas w70%
those are the only states she won w/ a considerable margin.
obama on the other hand....
well, i dont want to be going on and on, so check the link
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/...
my point is, SHE HAS NO LOGICAL TRAIN OF THOUGHT TO VALIDATE THE INEVITABLE, she is acting like george w bush.
she is talking about how if the democrats had the republicans' system she would already be the nominee (!!!!!!!!), how she is blaming the entire democratic party for not "fixing" florida and michigan, she is asking obama to come up w/ a solution to something that HAS BEEN SETTLED
ps: i stand by what i said in relation to texas and the ENTIRE COUNTRY on this post (her double standards are going beyond many ppls imagination, including mine)
http://current.com/items/88912232_hillary_or_barack_you...
pps:
and this is my last post w/ cnn's calculator, ENOUGH -
EDWARDS is FOR OBAMA TOO!

At that point nobody expects him to have less than a 130 delegate lead, and there will only be 80 delegates left... So it makes sense.
