"You may have heard of Rev. John Hagee, the McCain supporter who said God created Hurricane Katrina to punish New Orleans for its homosexual "sins." Well now meet Rev. Rod Parsley, the televangelist megachurch pastor from Ohio who hates Islam. According to David Corn of Mother Jones, Parsley has called on Christians to wage war against Islam, which he considers to be a "false religion." In the past, Parsley has also railed against the separation of church and state, homosexuals, and abortion rights, comparing Planned Parenthood to Nazis."

Is he a hater? Destroy Islam? I wasn't born to destroy Islam or anything else. Sorry, I'll sit this one out.

  • There are plenty of fruitcakes in America. In fact, we have the best-dressed fruitcakes on the planet!

  • I'm sorry. This kind of stuff doesn't sway me. I think if we focus our attention on what the candidates themselves do, we'll see and know all we need to know about them. McCain plans to keep us Iraq for years if necessary, we've learned that Hillary will do whatever it takes to get what she wants, and we know that Barak will not tell you what you want to hear just to make you feel better. All this other stuff is just propaganda and I refuse to subscribe.

  • Power broker tele-evangelists like Parsley have an agenda so private and twisted, even God doesn't listen.
    Why should I?

  • He doesn't need to be dragged out and used unless they drag out Wright again.

  • LOL! Why don't we save this little gem for the wars leading up to November, folks? This Hagee-Parsley thing, coupled with McCain's vacuous lack of knowledge of the issues (or anything else, for that matter) should guarantee Obama a landslide victory that makes that Mondale-Ferraro loss post-Carter look like a spring shower compared to Katrina.

Gramps has a lot of rough edges. The elder coot is batting Presidentially 0 for 3, one of those loses against Chimperor Dumya the Feckless. We have plenty of time to, er, uh, fully vet Gramps. It's only a matter of time before we provoke one of his rages, where he calls his wife the C-word-that-rhymes-with-rUNT. We need not tilt our hand so soon. Let's save that for the first debate Grampers is going to lose.

  • interesting.... I sampled this guy a long time ago into a song without knowing who he is. I just heard this crazy fanatical jesus freak on the TV and had to sample his hysterically homophobic rant.

yes, do save this one for a rainy day.

  • Oh I don't know. Seems like now's the time to switch our attention over the right honorable senator from Arizona. Though I do agree this kind of thing will work better as a counter punch. And the best hand we can play, in my humble opinion, is to simply remind people of who McCain has so closely aligned himself. Bush's war. Bush's tax cuts for the rich. Bush's economic policies. Bush's saber rattling. Bush's third term. No tipping necessary.

  • I think that the clips of course show the most wild stuff that this guy does, however This is not the kind of "leader" that that i would want having any kind of influence on the president.

  • I agree it's not desirable to drag this sort of thing out to impugn people's character, but since I am not the candidate I feel it's illustrates the hypocrisy of the Washington dirty tactics and good ol' boy system of manipulating the facts par exemple de Fausses Nouvelles (fake news), McCain himself and corporate media owned and largely operated by people whose first priority isn't the people United States.

Then, there is the issue of those who have enabled the unnecessary deaths of either hundreds of thousands or over a million (depending whose numbers you accept) innocent Iraqis name calling those of us who oppose the slaughter "haters" - pas vrai!

Not trying to induce guilt, but let us be honest about what we are dealing with.

  • At first I thought this is all about Politics but I guess this guy have some serious Mental Health Issues.

Ironically he's the only man genius enough to know that Islam is their enemy :D

Wake up guys before it's too late.... These stupid guys are playing with the emotions and faith of other religions and making those people your enemy who don't even know you.

It's time that people of America should take their faith in their own hands and not let these stupids create hatred among religions and people.

  • 1. Did Jesus ever asked to destroy any religion?

    2. I'd be surprised to know that this isn't taught in school books "why America was created".

    3. Either this man only knows about this or all the school books are wrong.

  • I'm with you on this Jasminerafique. It is not the attitude of the majority of Americans by far. The vast majority of Americans welcome and accept everyone.

Thanks. I know how much love and respect a common american have for others & they are they most peace loving people but these politicians are always using them for their own vested interests.

A Simple question every American can ask themselves, what will " I " get from a war?
