I have had several pets in my life, but currently I don't have a pet. My favorite pets were my cats, but they are with my ex now.

I been reading this book called "Time Enough For Love" about this man named Lazurus Long who in the book is over 4000 years old and is being rejuvenated against his will. He is found in a flop house dying, intentionally dying, and the families grab him and rejuvenate him asking him for his help to stave off the latest crisis. He agrees to comply provided they install a suicide button that he can access at any time, if he so chooses.

Its awesome book as it describes this mans many loves and thousands of progeny. It is set in the future after a great diaspora of humanity leaving the planet Earth after a great economic collapse and two more world wars. The book is over 1300 pages in paperback but I am listening to the Audio Book version. It is quite extraordinary.
