it's interesting to see the other side

To be honest, that first woman looked pretty emotional regardless of what pills she would or would not take.
But it's true that BC can have really gnarly side effects for some women, but not always.
And it's about time birth control for men has started. I think the reason it's been delayed for so long and the reason those guys had just a moment of hesitation is that our society is just a tiny bit sexist in that way. Girls are expected to watch out for their bodies while men aren't held responsible. -
I think it's very exciting that male birth control is coming soon, I can't wait to make my husband take them!
I was on the pill for many years because I have a hormonal imbalance and the pill evened everything out for me. I had a ton of side effects, though, and I've been off for several years.
Other methods are either messy or not easy to use like the pill.
What a great pod. -
The male birth control pill is like a godsend for athletes and people with groupies who try to get pregnant and trap them financially. And personally a lot of peace of mind for the rest of us.

Men birth control pill? I wonder what our side effects would be? Will we go rampage and get bald. LOL

One thing that this pod didn't state is that the patch has much more hormones because they have to circulate all throughout the skin before reaching the areas they effect.
I also have tried just about everything on the market, and the option I liked best is the cervical cap. There are no hormones to make me crazy and it is fairly simple to use. The downside is that you have to get fitted by a Gynecologist and it costs a lot of money.
The absolute worst option in my opinion is the shot. I tried Depo and it made me totally insane. My boyfriend at the time told me to never use it again. Afterwards for 6 months I didn't have a monthly cycle. I was told that it was normal, but I didn't feel normal. I felt scared. -
GREAT pod! I loved the use of music in this pod, really helped mov the piece along. It was cool to travel through Jenna's personal pill story with her and her reactions to the birth control were real and relatable. Good job!

Very important topic. I would love to see a pod on all the natural options out there and how to make them part of your life. I too had a horrible birth control experience and am always looking for a condom alternative.

My wife took the pill until we decided to have our first child. Afterward she did not want to go back on it. The problem was she never had the confidence, the certainty, that she had with the pill. A different sort of problem, but a problem just the same.
