Kids in the middle of the road and gets hit by a car, his mother blames the fact that the Hybrid was too quiet!!

  • So ridiculous. It's up to the driver and these kids to pay attention. Simple as that.

    What was the kid doing in the middle of the street anyways? I'm tired of these parents always looking to point the finger. Own up and teach your kids better. The 8 year old was not harmed but I'm sure he learned his lesson.

    Then again the driver for the Hybrid should PAY ATTENTION TO KIDS IN NEIGHBORHOODS.

    I doubt we are getting the whole story with this article, I want to know how fast the driver was going and if they were also on there cellphone and if the kid just ran out into the road as the car came or if he was already in the road and genuinely didn't hear a car. dun dunduuun

    I live in a suburban neighborhood where every house has a fenced backyard. The kids ALL play in the front yards and in the street. The backyards belong to the dogs. I would add that there is a good reason why I put a bell on then cats collar.

    Note: This is not a defense, it is an observation.

  • Only a matter of time before the MSM takes this one to town against green fuels. They'll say the cars are silent killers and try to get them outlawed.

    But seriously, that driver should have been paying better attention. Luckily, no one was hurt.

  • Bullshit, kids get hit by normal cars all the time. Its not because they are or are not noisy, its because the kids aren't paying attention to what's in the road.
