- Superdelegates (44)
Obama moved into the lead today in the last category that Clinton had claimed to have an edge -- support among the Democratic Party's superdelegates.
-
I looked at the superdelegate totals used by the other mainstream media outlets. All the rest have Clinton still ahead.
I do believe the tide will turn, and probably rather rapidly, but the superdelegates are, for the most part, political insiders who have on-going relationships with the Clintons and have heartfelt admiration for them. I suspect as soon as Obama accumulates the majority of pledged delegates -- just 33 more -- then the tipping point will have been crossed and the superdelegates will show their hands. -
Prolly happen very soon. She is swimming against the current, throw her a rope and pull her in.

Obama is not electable.....The Republicans have been pulling strings in the background helping Obama beat Hillary. Because to them and anyone else paying attention to the issues, the know that Obama will lose the election to Mccain.
When I first heard about Obama, it was a Republican glowing about him and even saying he should be President.. WARNING went off in my head.
They're up to something!!
Obama's has been not challenged in regard to his policies which are NOT good, supported only by progressive and unproven theories. Some are obviously vague and not objective.
And I'm sure the GOP knows things about Obama that they're saving to use for their benefit.

I would not say Farewell to DUMB YA I would say GOOD RIDDANCE TO BAD RUBBISH. It can't be soon enough for me and the rest of the world and I hope he takes his entire cabinet past and present to hell where he is bound, and I hope for eternity
-
Sean Lee,
Pardon me for saying so, bit I think you're letting your fears run away with you. Obama isn't running by himself. He's got a fairly solid staff behind him, and he's drawing the majority of the new voters. The counter-argument to your fears is this: imagine the Obama v McCain campaign as analagous to the Clinton v Dole campaign in 1996. Remember the result? -
Why is it that all the major news organizations have different totals? Why can't there be some dot gov site that has the official numbers?
-
The totals are based on public statements of support and on private and speculative attributions of support. A lot of it's pretty loose.

watch this comment being used hereI'm confused by the different counts as well. The AP is saying Obama has the lead - see the article linked above.
But CNN (which often quotes the AP on stuff like this) is saying that he's one behind.
However the race turns out, I'm looking forward to an end to the democratic infighting. I'd really like a Democrat in the white house come January '09, so in my opinion, the sooner the focus can turn to fighting John McCain instead of fighting ourselves, the better! -
Time says Obama has the superdelegate lead as well.
-
It's being reported now that Obama leads by at least 4 super delegates. This may be the final shift we've all been waiting sooooo long for. The end of the Democratic primary...thank god...can't ...take...any...more.... Now bring on McCain!
-
So another day of how many delegates each has, can Clinton be Vp, is she worth it, is his race a factor... Meanwhile, the climate crisis and other important issues will once again fall by the wayside. Just like the media wants.

Sean Lee,
What makes you think Obama is not electable?
Have you seen the news lately? He is leading Hillary Clinton in every matrix and polls show he will win against McCain by at least six points.
Take the blinders off. Step into reality, please.-

Uhhh, good for him, lets give a cookie. Or, perhaps lets give him a "super" delegate!
-
I prefer Obama. Hillary is so immature and unprofessional. I'm not saying Obama isn't, but he is definitely the lesser of the two evils. The delegates must notice, so it makes sense more would choose Obama.

Keeesha,
Great humor. I would like to see all Americans listen to the candidates and learn. Don't take anything for granted, do the math, do the homework. My fellow Americans let's finally look at the naked truth.....not spin. Don't believe just anything you're told. Have a dose of healthy skepticism.-

Hay all you Kids out there that have NO CLUE!
LISTEN UP! 1. It takes 2209 Delegates to win the nomination not 2025 like the media wants you to believe. Now do not tell me you believe everything the media tells you do you.
2. The DNC Rules state the Delegates for Florida and Michigan WILL WILL be seated at the Convention by the Credentails Commttee.
3. No candidate has the control to release sanctions put onto a state by the DNC, which means the nomimee can not change a states votes to reflect what he or she wants them to say.
4. The Pledge that was signed by both candidates that you can see on Hillary's web site concern only four states and the dates of there primary's not Florida and Michigan.
5.Hillary won Florida and Michigan
6. Obama removed his name off the ballot in Michigan of his own freewill but the Democrats in that state were well aware of him being on the ballot and were advised as to such if they wanted to vote for him to fill his name out where it was written uncommtted.
7. Hillary did not campaign at all in Florida but Obama ran a AD in Florida, Hillary won 73% to Obama's 32%.
8. Obama violated DNC Rules by running the AD,
this takes away from Obama's percentage by Half, that means his 32% in Florida turns into 16%.
That is why he does not what Florida and Michigan counted. he started his campaign on uniting American but he does not want 2.3 million voices to be heard.
Talk about Discrimination, unjustness, illegal action against the Constitution.
Florida has 256 Delegates of which Hillary has won about 187 Michigan has 188 which Hillary has won 105 ADD it up along with the Popular vote and Hillary is leading in Delegates and in the Popular vote.
There are 209 Super Delegates left that are uncommitted.
Obama is already out of the game and Hillary is the winner so hold on. Also come July Rezko goes to court and Obama's Slum lord truths come to light.
So time for you guys to bite the bullet.
Want to read the DNC Rules just let me Know.-

Obama does not have any polices, but he has no plans he goes around questions and all he talks about is lets change Washington. Hilter wanted change that is all he talked about that is all he preached about the Black Panthers spoke of change, The Bush administration started is campaign on change in Washington.
And his wife talks about reaching a bar. She makes over $300,000 a year he went to the most expense schools in Hawaii and they were never in want for anything and they act like they know what it is like to have it bad.
Hillary worked for her education, got a Grant and paid it off. Her dad was in the Navy fought in World War 2 and when he got out took a factory job.
Obama has know past you can't find out about him nor can you find anything about what he stands for but the people he he connected to and that is people I would not be connected to nor would i want them around my family.
Obama has no experience save 3 1/2 years and that is it. A Dept Store Manager has more experience then he has. And you have the brains to want him to run this country. Hillary has over 20 years experience. You like AMD don't you that company got started when she was First Lady and her husband was President and the economy was great because of their Administration not including QCOM and many others Cisco grew into the company it is under that Administration. So what you use now is directly related to the economy of the Clinton Administration.
And So many of you do not appriecate a D#MN THING-

maltesetitan Please don't spout PURE bullshit at very least...
"Obama does not have any polices"
Which is why I can find 141 pages of detailed plans on his website alone (this count excludes some of the issues talked about on said website because they lack pdf links).
"And his wife talks about reaching a bar. She makes over $300,000 a year he went to the most expense schools in Hawaii and they were never in want for anything and they act like they know what it is like to have it bad."
I'm glad to hear that they live the good life in Indonesia... He went to a good school from the 5th grade on, yes, but this was paid for by single a middle-class mother none the less... He didn't have a successful business-owning father to support his family like Hilary...
He worked for years as community organizer on a $13,000 a year salary for crying out loud.
He has plenty of a past to find out about... He has an autobiography out there, and has had every major news network look into his past due to the madrasa claims.
"Obama has no experience save 3 1/2 years and that is it. A Dept Store Manager has more experience then he has. "
Wait?... What?... He has spent the last 10 years in elected office... A state senator deals with legislation much the same as a United States senator does, only with a finite budget.,, Hillary has only had 7 years in elected office,,, Screwing someone who is doing a job does not count as doing a job yourself.
"And So many of you do not appriecate a D#MN THING"
Yes, Hillary Clinton is singlehandedly responsible for all of the economic success of the late 90s, it had nothing to do with technological development, congress, which actually did the work to establish any bills that led to the sucess, or her husband who she most definitely isn't the same person as... It was all Hillary.-

I heard that Mr. Obama is getting a free ride entry...Did he have anyone running against him for the Jr. Senate seat that he holds? I heard his slam dunk was into a very low net, i.e., no competition to get in? Is that true? The media is giving it to him too... What's that all about?

That post should be called, "The Crazed Rantings of A Scared Convervative Republican" by maltesetitan.

Titan, Please try to keep the length and amount of your posts comparable to the other posts. You are doing everything except shoving your hand in peoples faces as you climb to the top of the heap shouting out your opinions. You aren't making your point just irritating and ruining the conversation with so many huge long rants on every topic. People don't out rank each other here, we are equal with equal rights to our opinion.
