But if we get rid of our nukes, how will we creat our giant anthropomorphic lizards? Can the world afford to have the streets of tokyo unmenaced?

Just wow. How awful. I was looking at the Nevada Test Site on Google Earth the other night. check how deep those holes are. And then check how CLOSE they are to las Vegas.

I recently watched the documentary "Trinity and Beyond" that chronicles the evolution of Atomic and Hydrogen bombs and includes recently declassified material. One of the things that struck me was how dedicated these lunatics were to increasing the destructive power of these weapons. They had just succeeded in killing over 200,000 people in Japan with two of their bombs but they weren't big enough. They were also blindly conducting these experiments as they were wreaking havoc at test sites in the southwest and the south pacific. Entire atolls and islands were destroyed and they eventually had to use barges as their base stations. The film gets a little monotonous at times but is still informative.
Elligirl, you're not kidding. The Nevada Proving Ground (now the Nevada Test Site) is only 60 miles north of Vegas!
CarlosIsDown, that's going to be it. Cloverfield monster as Mother Earth's revenge. -
good info. thanks for the article

wouldnt surprise me if sometime in the (perhaps near?) future there are some communities built out there without people knowing or finding out until it is too late. -
War and Nukes only serve to defile the innocent and exhonerate the wicked...how sad it all is...
TouchArt, thanks for exposing and spreading more crucial truth...In light of this try to maintain a positive attitude...eventually the voice of logic and reason will prevail...-

Thanks PlatoTacius.
You're right. Maintaining a positive attitude and shining a light on both the good work people do, and the dangers, creates change.
Remember, the light of a match can illuminate a whole room.

having finally gotten around to reading this, Thanks TouchArt. How is it the government gets away with crap like that "testing" on the populace? Have there ever been any class action lawsuits or whatever to tell the U.S. gov't "Cut your phukn bs!" ??? How does the government end up perverting justice so blatantly??? If they get away with shite like this, it's no wonder they feel they can do whatever the hell they want (commandeering Tewa lands, etc.). Everything is a g'dam social/science experiment to them, and we're all just the dumb rats...
