Port Security and The Nightmare Scenario

Many Americans are concerned about terrorists smuggling a nuclear device or dirty bomb into the country through one of our port facilities. Well, here's a look inside two ports - the Port of New York and New Jersey, and the Port of Virginia - and the search for clues as to just how secure our nation's sea ports are. Believe it or not, despite all of the Bush administration's homeland security rhetoric during the past 6 years, as of January 2008 it had yet to make critical policy decisions that would enable port security directors to do their jobs more effectively.
