In a new development Sudan has cut all diplomatic ties with Chad blaming it for helping the rebels from Darfur launch this attack on the capital.
Sudanese President Bashir said in a televised statement. "These forces [behind the Omdurman attack] are all basically Chadian forces supported and prepared by Chad."
Chad and the JEM rebels deny working together but experts say Chad and Sudan are basically fighting a war using each other's rebels to achieve their military objectives.
