  • The government already controls the Fluoridation of our water, what makes you think they'll stop there?

But I'm with you, we need to make this a priority now.
  • AWTTA CONTROL!!

  • AAACCCKKK!!!!!!!! Don't tell me this stuff!!!! I hate knowing stuff like this -- makes me thirsty.... :-(

This is why we need Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. in the next cabinet, either as EPA chief, or Energy Sec'y, or something like that!!!!!

  • The thing that really scares me about this is I never, in any circumstance, want to end up drinking this. I see all those dead bodies easily finding there way to my water glass. I could care less if drinking them stopped old age I do not want to drink dead bodies. Dumping them down the drain, That really doesn't seem like a good idea in any way, shape or form, Nonsense.

  • we all live downstream...

Thanks for putting this important issue out there. Water is our life source.

Up to 60 percent of the human body weight is composed of water

Every system in your body needs water. Water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues.

How can water perform its cleansing ability if we are consuming the very thing we are supposed to be using to detox?

All of this stuff that is mentioned in this article is so microscopic that we cannot see it, but the artist is putting a good visual there for us to see. If you had to see all the junk in your glass of water, I doubt you would drink it. (maybe not anyway).

    We cannot live without water.

  • While the prospect of dead people in my drink doesn't sound particularly appealing, these things are cleaned out pretty well.

Realize that we are among the first humans in the past 100 years to ever drink remotely clean water. These elements, while disgusting, probably won't harm you.

Mind over matter guys, the more you worry about your health the worse it gets.

The water has never been clean, get over it.

  • Buy a Britta water filter.
    Problem solved.

  • nutritious. I like my water with a little more 'life'.
    ipodrulz
  • Kallico,

Britta filters won't take all the stuff in your water out. It won't filter out those pharmacutecals for sure. Filters take out the minerals left after the initial filtration process, stuff like lead. But chemicals won't be filtered out because they are on the microscopic level.

If you want to get that stuff out of the water, then we need to take care of it in the purification systems we already use(but apparently are not up to clean water specifications). Water is an essential resource for our well-being. If it's impure, then it could cause lots of health problems for us all. How are we sure some ill conditions are not because of the tap water we drink everyday?
  • this is such garbage the water we drink these days is more pure than any water we have ever drank. reverse osmosis systems and micro-filtration leaves the water so pure that they actually have to add stuff to it so that it has a taste. if you are so worried about water comming from your municipal water supply you can always buy an under-the-sink revese osmosis filter there not even that exspensive. the dep and epa have such tight regulations and they fine any of these water treatment facilities that even come close to having bad water. theres a link to a place where u can get them from $150 its not that hard to have clean drinking water.

  • sephig is right.

For those who don't know, purified water actually isn't good for you. Purified is corporate catch-phrase, the water you drinking is partially distilled. "Pure" water pulls nutrients OUT of your body because it is so soluble. A lot of the things that float in your water are beneficial for your body, anything that isn't is filtered out by your kidneys.

This "purified water" bullshit is just a corporate campaign to convince you that your water is unclean. They make massive profit off of you running around buying bottled water and filters. The fact is that water will never be perfectly clean and that's ok, your body is perfectly able to handle water with some excesses.

  • Sephig, you give me a good reason why I should spend an extra 150 bucks to do something the water companies should be doing already. People shouldn't have to pay the water companies to give them water without properly cleaning it.

  • Would that really make a difference?
Like for example, if someone had AIDS and they went through that process.... and their blood ended up in the sewer system,
would that mean that people who drink it would get contaminated?

  • The flouridation of water supplies is completely stupid. Have you ever seen what is on the sides of 50 gallon drums of Flouride?

SKULL AND CROSS BONES, The symbol for poison.

Flouride is a poison and we are routinely putting it in our water supplies.

Our world is intentionally and systematically being destroyed.

  • I really do not want corpse rain. That just takes the beauty out of the water cycle. And needless to say, that is a sickeningly terrible idea.

good way to spread misinformation. do you realize that flouride is common in parts of the U.S. naturally in untreated water (lakes, streams)in higer doses than what municipal water systems put in to the drinking water supply the dep sets guidelines that these public and private utility companys must follow the mcl for flouride is 2 ppm(parts per million) most sytems have there set at well under 1 ppm sure high doses of flouride will kill you but thats true about most things.

  • there are higher quality control restrictions on public drinking water than on bottled water. you want to see something funny? get an in depth look at that amazing bottled water you have there and then realize your tap water is of better quality and that most bottled waters come off tap water anyways or have flavorings added

  • sephig, you should check out the "Hidden Agenda about Flouride."

Before you go accusing me of spreading misinformation you should read and listen to the facts.
There is a reason that in Oregon we have voted to stop the flouridation of our waters. Oregon still does not flouridate the water supply. The chlorine is bad enough. And then add all the other crap that is getting into the water supplies of cities such as prescription drugs and a myriad of other chemical wastes.

Water is still free in Oregon from the control of Chemical Corporations, however that is slowly changing as more of the headwater lands are being bought up and controlled by the Corporate land controllers.

I suggest you read it and learn about the truth.

  • Flouride is at the root of thousands of health ailments affecting the American public including brain disorders, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and many others.

Flouride is comparable to the five chemicals identified as brain development neurotoxicants.

“In humans, only five substances have so far been documented as developmental neurotoxicants: lead, methylmercury, polychlorinated biphenyls, arsenic, and toluene. From this evidence, including our own studies on some of these substances, parallels may be drawn that suggest that fluoride could well belong to the same class of toxicants, but uncertainties remain” (1f).

  • I think that this is being blown all of of propotion by the left wing lunatic fringe. Exactly what are the concentrations PPM, PPB or PPT (in parts per million, or billion, even trillion) of these chemicals? At what levels (defined by the scientific method) do these trace chemicas become significant?
    stpete
  • "... includes blood and spillover embalming fluid from funeral homes"

So? Do like drinking your own excrements? I don't either but guess what, you might be drinking it right now and there's nothing you can do about it. At least if you use the same logic as the argument in this article.

It's not impossible to have drinking water from waste water. Although its rarely ever directly filtered, "toilet" water really does get reused once its filtered several times so the next time you drink some tap water, remember that you might be drinking the "same water" you urinated into two months ago

why give a bunch of links to this site with this one book i don't need to no what this guy thinks he wasnt't even a reasercher he was a pharmacist. i have seen the exstensive research that has been done on flourine, flouride. in the trace amounts that it is found in our drinking water it is beneficial and not harmful. there is always someone who is going to think somethings harmful to us.

chlorine is the best most efficient way to disinfect water, and if you so worried about medical waste and germs in you water supply you should be thankful there is chlorine in it.

  • Saladin,

For most of human history, we didn't have to worry about such junk in our water..

Mother nature could handle the clean up:)

But now we are pumping so much junk into the water supplies and there is just not enough time for old mother nature to clean it up.

And we aren't cleaning it up that well either:(
  • Midnight_DevilX,

Yes and in many localities, the water is NOT Flouridated either..and it does help to prevent tooth decay!

  • The dead bodies counter-balance the harmful effects of the fluoride and make everything delicious.

To all you crybabies -- be grateful that we don't all have cholera. It could be much worse.
