Love it! Thanks Obama groupies, have fun during President John McCain's administration.
-
Pathetic but typical. I'm sure you and JohnA will be very happy together as the world passes you by.
-
Actually I'll be mad as hell watching President John McCain for four years, but don't blame me.
-
How are those grapes you're chewing on...a little sour?
If he can't beat McCain...how did he beat Clinton? -
he can't win the swing states that = a sure loss in the general election.
-
How is he going to win? Just look at the electoral college maps from 2000 and 2004, what does he pick up? The coasts are set, the south is set, where does he pick up a state? Florida? Duh, no. Ohio? Let's see he lost that once already. Maybe New Mexico if he chooses Richardson VP, but that's a stretch because it went for Clinton, and it's not enough anyway. Plus he'll lose Michigan to the Republicans, and probably Pennsylvania after calling them gun toting bible thumping hicks. He doesn't stand a chance in the electoral college. But you Obama groupies are so enamored with The Great Obama you don't care. Fine, you'll learn in November. It's going to be funny to see Obama supporters call for unity with people they've been calling uneducated and racist for months.
-
First, your analysis is clearly colored by your disappointment and is flawed. The south isn’t set. And he wouldn’t be the first president to win a state in the general that he lost in the primaries…it happens in every election. But the biggest point is that the election is half a year away. What chances were you giving Senator Obama six months ago (let alone a week ago) to win the nomination? How’d that work out for you? Not so good, huh?
We get it JohnA, you’re disappointed your candidate lost. But rather than spending all this time and energy tearing down the person who won, maybe you should spend some time reflecting on what your candidate didn’t do right. Why she punted things so badly. Anyway…good luck getting through this difficult time.
-
So give me the strategy, where does he pick up states, what's the game plan? He's not going to win any southern states and he's not going to win any rust belt states. I don't want a Republican President, convince me, what states does he pick up? I don't even like Hillary, I was for Edwards.
-
Yeah, yeah. You were for Edwards. Right.
You were against Obama. I've seen your posts JohnA…when have you been FOR anything? But hey, that's your right. So go on hating.
But if I had been as wrong as often as you have, I'd consider backing off making such bold predictions as "he's not going to win any southern states and he's not going to win any rust belt states." Well...we've seen how your predictions tend to work out.
I expect his strategy will be to create a 50 state voter drive and ground game, and given his primary success he's well on his way. He will draw contrast between himself and McCain. Identify the states where McCain is weak (my state Virginia could be one in the south) and heavy up in those states. I expect he'll also use his money advantage to force McCain to play defense in states that normally the republicans don't have to spend much time. I expect him to choose a VP candidate to help pull votes in a swing state. Oh...and when he magnanimously concedes Michigan and Florida agreeing to seat the delegates in those states, I expect the polling to change there too.
But I'm just guessing…six months is a long time. I don't know what he’s going to do and neither do you. That's why I'm smart enough not to make asinine predictions.
-
I just wish there was a way to show JohnA and the others how valuble and powerful a candidate Barack Obama is.
The point is getting a D in the oval office whoever the nominee may be and JohnA and malti would help that cause if they turned their attacking skills on Mccain instead. I dont know maybe or just try to find what you like about the likley nominee and help strengthin that.-

Malt, How much do you get paid for putting out this garbage? "My friend" you always make me laugh...cute
-
I agree Divine.
With all the Obama/Clinton talk people haven't been noticing that McCain has put up some troubling numbers since he secured the nomination.
"Republicans are still voting against him. In Indiana McCain pulled in 77% of the vote, and he made an even worse showing with 73% in North Carolina. Even more troubling for McCain is that Huckabee is the leading protest vote. That's the religious right vote, the anti-choice crowd and the bedrock of President Bush's re-election victory."
How are these voters going to feel if McCain starts moving to the center to try to capture independents?
-
Raheims may be joking but he's right. This is Clinton propaganda, part of a smear campaign against an aspirational campaign. Before you vote today West Virginia consider the fact that Clinton voted against the Levin Amendment to the Iraq War Authorization which would have made Bush conduct more diplomacy at the UN and required another Congressional authorization before a unilateral invasion. Vote Obama for real change.
