  • Gnarly. This needs to air.
  • yikes. i hope no one accidentally eats that.
  • Looks good to me. The video didnt really answer the question of why one should not eat fast food. Rather, it presented the false theory of the iron happy meal. If it didn't break down in one's stomach then its journey through our body would never be complete if you know what I mean.

  • How many 'Supersize Me' type stories will be spewed out before the people making them realize they just don't work. Yes fast food is bad for you. Yes people shouldn't eat it. But no, people are not going to stop, so all these stories should be bagged. Then the cash that would have been used to make them should be sent to an organization that actually changes something.

  • just because some comes out the other end, doesn't mean it's been properly digested. it doesn't take a genius to figure out that if food doesn't show even a speck of mold after sitting out for four years, there's gotta be some chemicals in that isht.

but, hey, if you wanna keep eating big macs...be my guest. it's your gut.

oh and if you need more reasons to not eat fast food, besides health issues, you should research their social and environmental impact. but that's a whole other thread...

  • right, wicker, because educating the ignorant is a futile attempt for change.

  • what are they putting in these foods to make them last this long?

  • Hey, McD discovered a new way to preserve food! Alert the media! That's gross. I haven't been able to eat 'factory' beef for over a year - explosive results. Mom's don't let your babies grow up to be french fries!

i want the recipe for whatevers in that burger that's making it last so long , and then i want to drink it as a magic potion , and live forever .

  • well that certainly is the most out of control thing I have ever seen in my entire life. If I eat fast food ever again, there is the likely hood I wont make it home without wanting to hurl.

  • IriEonE had the truly resourceful American response! And Twinkies would make the perfect dessert!

  • Woah... I've certainly heard before that tramps rifling through bins for food to eat reject McDonald's food outright for this reason - it looks exactly the same 4 months in, and that can't be right. But four years!? Would love to see a scientist's take on this.

  • So...if I eat this stuff every day, I won't break down?
    Sweet!

  • those look like the burger and fries i got served yesterday

So... All this did is reaffirm me not wanting to eat 4 year old food.

This sounds like a "buy my stuff/give me attention and you'll loose weight/be healthier" scheme. You know, that same old story everyone already knows, presented a little differently.

  • Wait, you can't take mould on airplanes?

Thats so nasty. I bet you could use that burger like a frisbee.

  • did anyone else have this thought process?:

    salt cures meat
    salt cures meat for years
salt cures McDonald's meat for years

    ....

    anyone else hearing crickets?
  • This just reaffirms my reasons for not eating McDonald's. Anything that can be preserved that long without plastic wrap can't be good for you.
  • The real issue is that 'fast' doesn't have to mean 'bad' food -- when will a company (like Subway, etc.) launch a chain of drive-thru, fast, good-for-you, food -- like a 'build your own organic sandwich' kinda place. You give the order for the ingredients you want, and the window produces a Dagwood sandwich to order -- yum, perfect!!

  • eating all those preservitives... i'll live too be 100!

  • I find it hard to believe that after all these years people still need a reason not to eat junk "food".
    teddy14
  • I do agree-junk food is bad for you. However-A well made (that is home-made) burger can be nutritious: a small amount of meat, lots of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles etc. Stay away from the fancy mayonnaise based dressings, use mustard instead. Watching the video on TV, it appears that the lady with a hamburger in her pocket for the last four years could stand to loose a few pounds. What's her BMI (Body Mass Index)?

  • The thing is, it's likely with all that grease and cholersterol, Mickey D's eaters will get a clogged artery in the later years.

But the corpses they leave will look pristine for the next 25 years or so...
  • Give them a few years and those burgers and fries could evolve into a new species of zombies.

  • I think we all know that tasty comes with a price

  • mmmmmm, well at least we wont have mold inside of us. This was great to see, I will try harder, A LOT harder never to eat fast food again.
    everett7
  • Great video, now thats another good reason not to eat at a fast food join now...
    Achgelis222
  • Just because the burger and fried haven't broken down for years doesn't mean that your body won't be able to break the burger and fries down, and it's not likely that the fat you gain from said burger and fries never breaks down as she leads you to think. HOWEVER, it is true that preservatives themselves stay in your body for a long time. It doesn't necessarily make you fat for longer but it's certainly not healthy
    Kojitakeo
  • wow. and wow at the commitment of carrying that stiff thing around for such a long time, 4 years for food seems even wrong for canned food. Then we wonder why the French are skinny.
    meligrosa
  • Comparing raw potato slices that haven't been fried to kill any surface bacteria and that haven't been salted to prevent bacterial growth to a french fry that has been fried and salted is useless.

I'm not a fan of McDonalds by any stretch of the imagination, but unless she uses a control sample of similarly salted food without any other preservatives, it means nothing.
