Wessagusset_Oracle, what do you mean by "finally"? Ever heard of Dostoievsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Mendelev, Tchaikovsky, Gogol, Pushkin, etc., etc., etc.?

Russia invented everything. Except peanut butter. George Washington Carver has the # on that one for sure.

Vierotchka:
I'm just kidding and being simple. We live in a complex world, and every country and every person contributes to life. I come from one of Russia's former puppet states, so I have a disliking of Russian attitudes, politics, and over power. But I love our Slavic commonalities. I also know that Russians have contributed many good things to our species, but again, the arrogance, corruption, disrespecting of law, and over power I highly detest. Not to mention the mass murder of my people, but I'm past that.-

That video rocked! The only thing that could of made it better were captions like. “Oh snap comrade!” or “Oh no he didn’t!” and “Bosh!” By the way Tchaikovsky sucks, Igor Stravinsky is much better, but both of them fail to compare to Debussy.

Wessagusset_Oracle, I know that many people in the Baltic States hate Russia for having beaten Hitler and the Nazis, because a vast number of them were pro-Nazi and helped with the rounding-up and massacre of Jews, among other things. But many other people there do love Russian culture and people. We had lands in the Baltic States (my maternal grandmother was from Latvia, from one of the "Baltic Baron" families). In the estate that used to belong to one of my father's cousins, in Zagare, Lithuania, there was a huge massacre of Jews who were buried there. They were slaughtered by Lithuanians, not by Germans.

That's right Vierotchka. The Einzatzgruppen were willingly and gleefully assisted by many Latvians, Lithuanians and Ukrainians in murdering one and half million Jews in cold blood prior to the death camps.

Those Ruskies could move. What did they put in the vodka?

i recommend this book on the subject of the Einsatzgruppen and the mass murder of the Jews. It's tough but essential reading.
