Bush administration on Friday urged a federal appeals court to stop meatpackers from testing all their animals for mad cow disease, but a skeptical judge questioned whether the government has that authority. , Prions are able to jump species barriers , prions can continue to live for years in soil & water and infect blood banks unless screened with new procedures just being developed, other Prion Diseases include;
