  • ...with Jose Valverde it's a sign of weakness - he never knows whether he's going to pitch a scoreless inning and save a game, or give up three homers without recording an out. He punches the air because most of the time he can't believe he made an out!

    I'd let Joba off - after all, he's good enough - and there's nothing wrong with showing emotion.

  • Born in 1981 - As far as I'm concerned being a Yankee means cheating on your taxes (Jeter), hiring someone to spy on Dave Winfield to get out of a contract, calling players fat bullfrogs, druggies (Gooden/Straw), steroid users (Pettite/Knoblauch), and driving up the cost of the game to a ridiculous point to average fans....
    The idea of a Yankee way died about 30-50 years ago....
