According to UK secret files green aliens and UFOs have been visiting Britain!

Aliens from outer space have been visiting Britain for years and UFO sightings doubled after the film Close Encounters was released in 1977, according to secret files collating reports by members of the public.

The alien craft come in all shapes, sizes and colors but their occupants are uniformly green, the Ministry of Defence files show.

The archives at (ufos.nationalarchives.gov.uk/) are the first batch of a four-year release program of all the ministry's UFO files from 1978 to the present day.

So next time your weird friend tells you he has seen an alien, you might want to take him more seriously!

    Here's the link to their archives. It looks like there's only stuff up to 2002. But what about the last 7 years? Aliens decided they didn't like the way things were going here and have moved on to grander planets?

  • I think this article has misinterpreted the source. Sightings doubling after 'Close Encounters' does not mean we should take alien-crazed-nutjobs seriously. It means that they only realised that they had something to rave about after seeing the film and were more open to suggestion.

  • People need to wake up to this realtiy that aliens were here first,they've always been here,and always be here.We learned their technology fro the Roswell crash.They're mentioned all throuhout the Bible,from Genesis to Revelations. If we as humans can't straighten out this mess that we've made on this planet,everybody will get a chance to witness this reality. I've seen ufo's twice in my life and i do not care who laughs or tries to make mockery, because that's what ignorant people do when they can't comprehend an issue, they either attack or make mockery.

  • This is a very interesting subject. I think it is selfish and niave to think that planet earth is the only planet with living beings. The universe is a vast and never ending space of the unknown.

  • Don’t forget the Sumerians either Keith. They appeared out of no where, were the first to develop written word and a host of other things. Strangely enough hey attribute all their advances to “the gods!” HAHA I use to gobble up all those conspiracy theories but as I matured I gave it all up. There is simply not enough credible evidence to support the assumption that we are regularly visited by aliens. Just like religion the belief in aliens is based on blind faith and I’ll have none of that.

  • The late Dr. Carl Sagan, on the subject of UFO's was known to say that "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence".

    Now, the Universe that which we inhabit is a horrendously huge expanse of galaxies and stars and as we now know, other solar systems so it may be possible that there is life on some of those planets..

    BUT...

    The distances between stars are so vast, so enormous that it would require huge amounts of energy, even some sort of "warp" to make these voyages a reality at all.

    Now, if Aliens somehow are visiting Earth all the time, where is the real evidence?

    And as Dr. Sagan put it "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence".

    Where's the data?

    Where are the real sightings, where are the spent parts of these spacecraft? Why can't we see, touch and hold and experiment with these exotic materials that make up these spacecraft?

    You see, we require that extraordinary evidence and it really never seems to quite exist...

    Oh yes, there are stories and tales of goverment agencies pirating away the evidence.....

    And the evidence never turns up either....

  • This is ridiculous, the mere implication that subsequent sightings increased due to the release of the film ''Close Encounters'' debunks the whole notion of alien visitation. I'm a believer but this article is a good example of poor journalism...

  • Nothing I didn't know. I've been getting this information through my self made alien tramsitter I made by wrapping foil around my router and scribbling alien glyphs with a metalic sharpie.
