I am sick of people writing comments to stories and pods just by glancing at headlines., or reading what the contributor wrote about the article... If more people on this site took the extra few minutes to read the articles that accompany the links....then maybe just maybe they would be better informed to comment

Totally. Break down the fast-food and sound-byte mentality by actually investing some attention into the topic. You know the old principle about making sure brain is in gear before engaging mouth. Makes for a more intelligent and interesting community.
