Well it looks like Activision has a case of the "Anything you can do, I can do betters" with its latest iteration of the never ending Guitar Hero franchise. Not wanting to be outdone by original Guitar Hero and current Rock Band developer Harmonix, Activision has released the first photos of their version of a video game drum kit.
Look, I love the playing the fake drums on Rock Band, I really do! These drums really excite me, especially the addition of the cymbals. BUT! My apartment hates you Activision! How dare you make me add yet another ugly technicolor set of plastic drums that will no doubt only work with your game and your game only (I still hate you for not letting me use the incredible Rock Band guitar on Guitar Hero III) to my already crowded living room.
At least it's wireless.

Wow this is the best news. Cymbals just complete the deal.
I wonder who will have the better song list? What instruments will they come up with next? Instead of real music classes in school will schools eventually switch to fake music instrument classes? -
When I was first introduced to Guitar Hero I was in love. I even questioned why bother getting Rock Band when it was released - after repeated sales pitches from friends and family.
But once I got my hands on Rock Bank, there was no doubt a different chemistry and the drums really helped make it happen, as well as a superior music set list.
I did feel the drums were missing the cymbals, so it now will draw my appeal back towards Guitar Hero when it is released.
Question is: what is up Rock Band's sleeves????-

Why don't these things ever come with a friggin' stool?

I'm sure Rock Band will have something to counter thise announcement.

Someone has made the shirt. Now Activision or Harmonix need to find the courage to make the game.

This is just another addition to today's contemporary way of life... the virtual world taking over it's real world counterpart. Real instruments aren't that expensive. Rock Band was a little less than $200; you can buy a decent starter guitar for that much.

Right on, bawbooo. That's why I can't wait for this.

Yeah that would be something I would play.
If the video game taught me how to play guitar I would be all for it. I am too lazy to learn myself. Which is indicative of the mindset of pretty much everyone who plays Guitar Hero/Rock Band. Its fun to mess around but they would never put the time into learning an instrument... UNLESS it was made into a video game and basically it was disguised learning.
