In an astoundingly ignorant interview with The Politico’s Mike Allen Tuesday, President Bush insinuated that electing a Democrat in November would lead to another attack on America, and revealed that he made the ultimate sacrifice by giving up golf shortly after the start of the Iraq War — the timing of which he lied about. Naturally, Keith ripped into him tonight — with all the anger and passion you’ve come to expect from a Special Comment — for continuing this despicable fear-mongering, and for failing to understand what true sacrifice is.
It was a Yahoo user who brought up the second topic upon whose introduction Mr. Bush should have passed, or punted, or gotten up and left the room claiming he heard Dick Cheney calling him.
“Do you feel,” asked an ordinary American, “that you were mis-led on Iraq?”
“I feel like — I felt like, there were weapons of mass destruction. You know, “mislead” is a strong word, it almost connotes some kind of intentional — I don’t think so, I think there was a — not only our intelligence community, but intelligence communities all across the world shared the same assessment. And so I was disappointed to see how flawed our intelligence was.”

Yes, Mr. Buttload of the century. We too are "disappointed to see how flawed your intelligence is."

I love you Keith Olberman. You complete me. ^_^

Keith Olberman rocks.

bush=retard
(not to offend the retarded; many [most] of which would certainly shoe more diligence, foresight and regard than the incumbent decider.)

The original Politico interview was insipid and journalistically disappointing. With the state of things, how dare Mike Allen bring up pointless questions like SNL impersonations, the Yankees, and American Idol all within three minutes? Bravo to Keith for ripping into Bush's responses, but we should be equally disappointed with the questions he was asked.
-
Here's my favorite questions/answers...
Q: Mr. President, you're headed later today to the Middle East. The prospects for brokering peace between Israelis and Palestinians look bleak. I wonder what the best is you can hope for, and why should Americans back home care about your efforts over there?
THE PRESIDENT: It's a great question. Americans at home ought to care for the advance of free societies throughout the Middle East, after all, this is the center of anti-Americanism and hatred. In other words, the people that attacked us on 9/11 came from this part of the world. By far the vast majority of people aren't haters, and by far the vast majority of people don't hate America. But there are enough to be able to recruit if forms of government repress people.
...So the only reason we should be interested in the Palestine/Israel conflict is because some Middle Easterns are anti-American. Really. That's our only reason? Because people don't like us.
Another one....
Q Now, Mr. President, President Carter recently told Charlie Rose the next President could change America's image in 10 minutes. Here's what he said: "I think the next President could change the image of this country around the world in 10 minutes by making an inaugural speech that would start off and say, 'As long as I'm President we will never torture another prisoner, as long as I'm President we will never attack or invade another country unless our own security is directly threatened.'"
THE PRESIDENT: Yes, well, what he ought to be saying is, is that America doesn't torture. If the implication there is that we do now, then he's wrong. And you bet we're going to protect ourselves by the use of military force. What he really is implying is -- or some imply -- you can be popular; if you want to be popular in the Middle East just go blame Israel for every problem. That will make you popular. Or if you want to be popular in Europe, say you're going to join the International Criminal Court.
Popularity is fleeting, Michael. Principles are forever.
...So we should enforce OUR principles in other parts of the world...maybe even use military force to do so...and not care what other countries think? Bravo, Mr. President, bravo. You win the prize for the definition of diplomacy.
I await Jan. 20th with anticipated joy. -
Bottom line, the Bush Administration, did not give the American public ALL the information to make an informed decision. We were motivated and ready for action after 9/11, we wanted to strike back.
The conspirators withheld and CRUSHED the Negatives about going to war and PROMOTED the Positives, per Doug Fife (an architect of the war) on the Daily Show. He was trying to sell his book, JackAss.
The Bush family is going to go down in history as The BIGGEST FUCK-UPS to hold the Presidency. GWB is a Dumb Ass!!

Keith O is a true voice in the storm...

you know he won't, but don't you just wish that W. would see this.....

Can we really not muster a majority of the House of Representatives to pass "articles of impeachment" and 2/3 of the Senate to find Bush and Cheney guilty of treason and high crimes?! The survival of our country depends on our ability to get Republicrats out of Washington. Stop voting for the candidates that are promising you cookies and candy and start voting for courageous patriots who are endlessly committed to defending your liberty and protecting the Constitution!

Why is this pathetic runt of a man running the United States of America. Think about it.

The only way that putting a Dem in the WH leads to another 9/11 is if the same Illuminati/Bush Administration Officials who choreographed and executed that fateful day... reach into their old bag of tricks and pull off another unassisted quadruple death play.
As Dan Patrick used to say, "Keep Saving the Democracy Keith."
I'll be watching from my bomb shelter.

Keith Olbermann is a 'TRUE PATRIOT' willing to speak 'TRUTH TO POWER'.
We need to find our voices and join Keith Olbermann. We have the power to demand change. If we 'Unite' and SCREAM!
WE ARE MAD AS HELL AND WE AREN'T GOING TO TAKE IT ANY MORE! OUR REPRESENTATIVES ARE EITHER FOR US, OR AGAINST US! IF THEY ARE AGAINST US, THEY SHOULD BE VOTED OUT OF OFFICE. NO MORE TALK, WE WANT ACTION! DEMAND ACTION, NOT WORDS!
IF THEY WANT OUR VOTES, THEY HAVE TO EARN IT! PROVE THEY ARE CAPABLE OF ACTION.
I WANT TO SEE HEARINGS! I WANT TO HEAR TESTIMONY 'UNDER OATH'! NO LYING ALLOWED! NO HIDING BEHIND THE COVER OF 'CLASSIFIED'! THIS ADMINISTRATION DOESN'T HAVE TO PROVE ANYTHING, THEY HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO 'CLASSIFY' THEIR MISDEEDS! It's an 'Assault on Reason'!
Misdeeds should not be 'classified', they should be out in the open for the world to see. They should be held accountable and shamed for their actions! -
Way to go , Keith.
I can't wait to see GWB and his brood in chains. -
I can't wait to watch them testify at hearings. Testifying 'UNDER OATH'! Can you picture it? Squirming, trying to figure out the best way 'NOT TO REMEMBER ANYTHING'.
Now that would be 'REALITY TV' worth watching! Popcorn for everyone! -
keith olberman is a genius

What an embarrassment to have such an idiot in the white house.Almost daily he reveals what an imbecile he really is.Thankfully, his illegal occupation of the office will be over fairly soon.

One of the many sad things about this interview is that by about the third sentence, "President" Bush's eyes must have rolled back in his head because it was all OVER his head. He just can't grasp complex subjects like this. At the beginning of his administration, his staff would not let him answer reporter's questions. Of course, we've now come to know why. He's just incompetent. The Karl Rove's and Cheney's of the world didn't want the American people to know how incredibly duped we were until they had their "ducks" in a row and agendas met.
Now they don't care how incredibly ignorant he appears because there's nothing we can do about it. -
If Al Gore ever had a illegitimate son, I bet that kid would be Keith Olbermann. I think there should be a DNA test!
In the Dems efforts to distance themselves from the batshit crazies on the Right we sometimes control ourselves too much. Our tone always remains even and always words carefully choosen so as not to offend even our enemies, etc.
But sometimes its good to let loose and open up that Can O' Whoop-Ass.
Austin 3:16! -
I agree with crob80227. Sometimes you have to just let it rip...or you'll end up drooling on yourself in a few years pushing a shopping cart full of Bush newspaper clippings

Bush is worried that if we nominate a Democrat as President that we will be inviting another terrorist attack on our soil?
Gee... Who was President for nine months before the last successful terrorist attack on our own soil? Hmm... Methinks Bush might not be the best person to talk about such things...-

Wasn't that Sen. Kerry's big problem? He was too reserved and too cautious. He didn't really address the Swift Boaters until far too late and even then wasn't willing to go after them has hard as was necessary.
I think in the 2000 campaign that Gore also was hampered by not wanting to "get in the mud."
There is a middle road. You don't want to be a typical batshit crazy Right-wing nutjob foaming at the mouth screaming about immigrants and the UN taking over the world -- but at the same time you don't want to extend too much repsect to your opponents!
If you're too respectful you end up looking weak (a problem Sen. Clinton has never suffered from).
Obama has done pretty well so far, but he could take a lesson from Keith in this clip. The time is gonna come when Obama is going to need to ramp up his attacks on McCain (and Republicans in general) and the intellectual smack down Olbermann gave for 12mins is an excellent example of how to beat someone down without looking like a Bill O'Reiley.

Keith Olbermann is the only true media commentor ever!! NO body had the balls to do what he did to Bush. What nuuuuerrrrrve of this JACKA&& to tell all of America he quit GOLF out of respect for the families who lost their loveones in this SICK, TWISTED, poor excuse of a war that meant absolutely NOTHING!!!!!!

But you see, it's really not Bush who deserves the crimes against humanity charge. He's just the puppet doofus. He's not smart enough to think of all the eight years of crap. He's just the gullible goon. It's Cheney, Rove, et. al who should be charged with crimes against humanity. Rove is the sociopathic manipulator. Jan 2001-Jan 2009 will no doubt go down in history is a period of darkness. We can recover!
-
That's right!
We can recover...but Bush is still an a&&hole.
