International anti-drug agents have warned repeatedly that Guinea Bissau has become a key transit point for drugs going from South America to Europe. Forty tons of cocaine are estimated to pass through West Africa annually, and a big chunk of this is believed to pass through Guinea Bissau. But local anti-drug agents face a dearth of resources to fight the problem.
