I am awake, and it's already too late.
That movie loosely strings together way too many trivial facts while failing to make a real point. It's an overly long quicktime presentation with much too much skipping around.-

At 35:28 they finally state their point. Christianity is a political Roman parody.

Of course it makess a real point. The point being that the human race is being covertly exploited and brainwashed for the greed and lust for power and riches of the few and has been for 2000 yrs. An incredibly difficult thing to bring together in 2 hr video which i think has been very well done. Some are awake but the vast majority sleep in ignorance which is exactly what is required of them by the few.

Hey,
wait a minute,I thought that I just got done doing this same clip 2 weeks ago? whatever, PEOPLE NEED TO SEE IT. cool with me. maybe people will keep picking it up until it's a conversation piece for norms. -
Pretty good movie. I agree with 96thdayofrage about the skipping around. I think that some of the production could have been better (especially the looooong intro-- I'd skip ahead about 10 min). It's a nice primer for people who are interested in digging deeper into some of the material (especially the banking cartel stuff).
Here's a link to the film's website and a message about what's going on with the page:
*** 4/25/08 - THERE SEEM TO BE PROBLEMS WITH GOOGLE VIDEO PLAYBACK.
IF THE FILM STARTS AT A RANDOM SPOT, PLEASE REFRESH THE PAGE. ***

Sorry but I'll think for myself thank you very much, if I was naive enough to blindly believe everything in this "movie" then I would be as sheep like as the brainwashed religious masses.
It was a well made movie though and hey, it was FREE!!-

I cant believe this is news again. Cubbingabout, you need to wake up and open your eyes. What is it, like 99.9% of this movie that as another newsmaker would say is "bullshit!!!!".

If you enjoyed Zeitgeist and are interested in learning more about the Federal Reserve and the IRS then you might like Aaron Russo's America: Freedom to Fascism. Here is the link that I have posted to Current.

This movie should be seen. Even if you don't agree with the movie in its entirety, there are many valid facts that cannot be overlooked..
-
It is entertaining no matter what your views. I believe in some parts, not in others, but overall it is definetly worth seeing.

i saw this ages ago . the only parts i really liked were the opening scenes with lots of fire and explosions , and then it went on to tell me nothing i wasn't aware of when i was 13 - amateur stuff , really .
-
I never said that the premises stated were untrue. The movie states a lot of truth. A whole lot of useless, unrelated, often irrelevant truths too loosely connected to everything and nothing, at first trying to prove that faith and science are different sides of the same ideological coin. It takes as much faith for me to believe that all contemporary life is the deliberate design of ancient ruses perpetrated by secretive invisible factions of ancient society as it does for me to beleive in the Judeo-Christian-Islamic God. So, I'm perhaps missing the point or points intended.
I reiterate: this movie sucks and is way, way, WAY too long, interconnecting badly too many well covered topics.-

Anyone who enjoyed Zeitgeist try Loose Change. Centered on the 9/11 conspiracy.

the best part in my opinion was the first part that delves into pagan traditions of sun worship before JC came around. Made a lot of sense to me.

Alot of this movie is basically propaganda, especially the religion part in the beginning whose relevance I don't really understand. Many of the facts were taken from some very sketchy sources and the way it is presented is shady at best (ie the scrolling of the names for JC). Just google Zeitgeist fact check.
I did think alot of the second half was alarming though. It still had the propaganda feel but I think that at this point people really need some propaganda going in the other direction.-

IT'S ABOUT CONTROL!
Hello? Is this thing on?
CONTROL!
This movie is begging that you ask yourself one question:
Were you born to work for another human or group of separatist humans, or to serve a higher power (the one that caused you EXIST.)?
Hello?-

Have you noticed that in the first part of the movie, where they compare the story of Jesus to the Pagans of other faiths, Islamic theology and the story of Jesus in The Qu'ran (which is different to the Christian version) is neither compared or discussed. V.interesting

and stuff -
This film is good at connecting a lot dots and disclosing a lot of myths and legends, that this wonderful western society has been spinning for the general public.
Check Out Andrew Curtis 'Century of Self' on You tube or somewhere on the tin ternet. The depth that this journalist goes its quite fascinating.
My opinion is it is simply a small part of a bigger picture. For example, if you look back at the conspiracy of the story 'Jesus Christ' it leads back to a similar story in the Egyptian time and even earlier. My theory is that their are a group of people or a sinister being who has been orchestrating these Gods in pursuit of power and with some even believing they are Gods. Thought out the Biblical and Qu'ranic stories of people of the past, there has been this constant fight of Good verses Evil and I believe this film gives it the back drop.-

I honestly do not like zeitgeist as a whole, i think most of it is dubious at best. However i do support that it gets people to think, and to question everything. something that people should do more often.

first you have to get mad! its a good one atleast it has references. check out Why We Fight its another documentary very informative. this is just one clip. my favorite part of this documentary is when Mcain is talking about how much wasteful spending and how irresponsible the handling of the war has been. Then you hear the phone ring its the vice president and he wants to talk to mcain the interview ends with mcain standing up. true power! haha
-
I've actually seen 3 of the 4 of the movies mentioned:
Loose Change, Freedom To Fascism, and Zeitgeist.
Why We Fight is another one that's been on my list for a while.
If you get a chance to watch another documentary, then check out No End In Sight. It's about the Iraq war and details it from begining to today.

I've had about six discussions after watching the video, then taking two showers to wash off the filth and then walking out of my apartment and chatting with some random people at the Cyclops down the street who had also seen the film. And everyone of the well-educated customer base of Cyclops is a skeptic as to the accuracy of this film.
However, everyone I spoke with is rather content in life, as am I. We're all grateful for the day, our physical security, our jobs and general peaceful mutual co-existence where great social and scientific ideas flourish.
My point being that if you buy into Zeitgeist 100% then you must buy into your on lot in life as being coddled and nurtured and essentially a result of previous generations' collective accomplishments...even with control freaks at the helm from time to time. And it's decent. And it's called America. And I like it.
And worth fighting for, if someone wants to throw down.
That doesn't mean that we can start wars for economic gain, but...if you even have a slight understanding of ecosystems, you know that limited resources = conflict. Period. There have been wars and there will be wars.
But learn not to panic at hype like this, because again even if it is control at it's worst, it ain't bad...I'm looking out my window in my decent crib overlooking the bay, typing about this bullshit. Life ain't bad. Ain't bad at all.
But if you, unlike me, are disenfranchised have no fear either! Global slavery may be imminent, but nature will prevail. The irony here is that, if you buy into Zeitgeist 100%, take solace in the fact that the environment's negative feedback loops will kick in (nature is not benign), so the Elite will ultimately lose control, die, etc...because their own self serving behavior and prejudices are destroying the human race, not enslaving it.
I'm being specific here, the planet will exist, humans won't. The "story" "ends" "there." And one would assume, control is lost too.
All's well that ends well.-

Everyone needs to cool out. Accept the fact there are a lot of real conspiracies out there and the fact that we'll probably never know what the truth is about a lot of stuff. Freezing up and freaking out about them going unnoticed isn't the problem, people just need to work on not believing everything they're told. We desperately do need to start questioning those in power and demanding accountability from our government, not get sidetracked with all these weird unprovable connections.
If you want to see a movie about 9/11 that does this without ever stepping out of the bounds of recordable fact and direct links, look no further than 9/11 Press for Truth. -
*sigh*
First off, a good movie, kudos to those who were involved in it's production. Good points, good ideas.
Thing is, you shouldn't believe everything this says. If you walk into this with thought-frame A, and leave with thought-frame B (B=everything the movie just said, and very different from A) then you are no more "open eyed and open minded" than before. THE point of this (intentional or not) is to think for yourself. Don't buy what is shoved down your thr
