China earthquake: aftershock brings more misery

Image...
Reports say parts of China have been rattled by a 5.5 magnitude aftershock following the catastrophic earthquake which hit earlier this week.

CNN reports that the aftershock has triggered landslides, blocked roads, knocked out phone lines as well as burying vehicles, all which will hamper the already critically needed aid relief.

The official death toll has been reported by Chinese state media as 22,069 but fears are mounting that this could see a dramatic increase following today's aftershock.
