Sakura Matsuri, or the Cherry Blossom Festival at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, captures the spirit of hanami, or flower viewing, every spring. The festival was on May 3 and 4, but you can visit the garden throughout the spring and summer to see the cherry blossoms. Their collection of cherry trees is one of the largest in America, and they have a historic Japanese garden which is really worth seeing.
