"Calm down people, you're all gonna die."
Dov, Seattle - May 16, 2008
I've had about six discussions after watching the film 'Zeitgeist', then taking two showers to wash off the filth and then walking out of my apartment and chatting with some random people at the Cyclops down the street who had also seen the film. And everyone of the well-educated customer base of Cyclops is a skeptic as to the accuracy of this film.
However, everyone I spoke with is rather content in life, as am I. We're all grateful for the day, our physical security, our jobs and general peaceful mutual co-existence where great social and scientific ideas flourish.
My point being that if you buy into Zeitgeist 100% then you must buy into your own lot in life as being coddled and nurtured and essentially the result of previous generations' collective accomplishments...even with control freaks at the helm from time to time.
(To editorialize a bit...
From my perspective I think it's decent. For me it's called The United States of America. And I like it. And it's worth fighting for, if someone wants to throw down.)
That doesn't mean that we should start wars for economic gain, but if you have even the slightest understanding of ecosystems, you know that Limited Resources = Conflict. Period. There have been wars and there will be wars.
But learn not to panic at hype like this, because again even if it is control at it's worst, it ain't bad...I am presently looking out my window floor to ceiling windows in my decent crib overlooking the bay, typing about this commentary on Zeitgeist. Not bad. Life ain't bad. Ain't bad at all.
But if you, unlike me, are disenfranchised have no fear either!
Global slavery may be imminent, but nature will prevail!
The irony here is that, if you buy into Zeitgeist 100%, then take solace in the fact that the environment's negative feedback loops will kick in (nature is not benign), so the Elite will ultimately lose control, die, etc...because their own self serving behavior and prejudices are destroying the human race, not enslaving it.
I'm being specific here, the planet will exist, humans won't.
Regardless, without humans, there's no one to control the controls that control the humans. The Zeitgeist is ends there. We're free!

Indeed. A non-answer to a non-movie. That's the point.
Thanks!-
