And if not just what right do they have to call themselves the " granddad of Current tv"??

Yeah our claim is true - we have been running the Outloud.TV project since 2003. The website was originally just designed to act as a online (flash video based-) preview of the videos uploaded for broadcast on Amsterdam local / public / cable TV (Salto). The online video web videos were just meant to be a way for Amsterdam locals to have voting rights for the videos to be broadcasted democraticlaly and automatically. The foundation that runs the project (mine) has been -and still is- running with EUR 0,- budget for many years. So sorry that the website isnt as cool as current.tv and youtube.com - but it was first thats for sure.
