At the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt a scientist has proved that people forced to smile and take on-the-job insults suffer more and longer-lasting stress that may harm their health.

I'd always get singled out for not smiling enough, it wasn't that I was sad, just that if I smiled all the time I was devaluing it, so when I did smile, it actually meant something.
I'm finally glad that people are beginning to realize the whole "smile and you'll feel better" belief is a bunch of horse crap.-

Placidly enduring bullying, harrassment and blecky human behavior is stressful and bad for you. I'm glad this has finally been proved. A lot of waiters and waitresses haven't known what to think about this subject...so now they know.

Does anybody else find it ironic that they say smiling hurts your teeth yet psychologist say smiling can improve your mental health.
