A truck has rolled over on Interstate 80 spilling some of its 14 ton load of Oreo cookies all over the road about 50 miles outside Chicago.
There are no reports of any cookie monsters as of yet.
Check out some helicopter footage of the crash:

This reminds me of Family Guy where everyone gets powers from a tipped over Nuclear tanker.
Maybe the driver can shit oreos now with his new found powers. -
Somewhere, a little kid staves off obesity for at least one more day.

Okay, everyone, it's time to pull over and start the party. Where's the milk truck and the truck carrying thousands of colorful plastic cups? The guy with the sweet sound system in his car can take care of the music.

WOW. joydejavu17 was 1/12 comments to wonder about the safety of those involved while everyone else wished for some milk to go with the cookies. lol
-
I would be more then happy to pull over and make sure the driver was not injured, while getting a little snack. =)
-
I just assumed the driver was fine, otherwise I figured they'd have mentioned something about it.

Oh My God! Could You Imagine?! Death By Chocolate (Cookies)! HA! OMG! You know, I seriously do hope no one was hurt... what a terrible fate for these poor cookies! *moment of silence in memorium* Anyway,... I like oreos... hope no one was hurt... this entry was funny... that is all. LOL

Aren't Oreos outlawed in Canada because of some ingredient they have in them that's bad for you?

Damn, missed another windfall! Always the bridemaid, never the bride.
-
The headline makes it sound like a bunch of oreo lovers overturned the truck...
-
Gee, does the 5 second rule still apply?
-
it would of been funny, as long as nobody got injured, if it hit a milk truck
-
All those trans fats are better off on the highway than on my thighs, thankyouverymuch.

Current... why is this your top news when 48% of the people voted they didnt like it?? Can someone explain how your system works?
I can appreciate a light news story now and again, but when your top 2 news stories are 45% (the hello kitty story) and 55% (this story earlier today) disliked by your readers and still on top, what is up??
I bring up this point again only because I earlier watched your chairman Al Gore here
http://www.ted.com/talks/view/id/243
update on his Inconvienent Truth movie and talk about how we live in an era of mass distraction, and here on "his" website, you guys tend to air fluff stories on your news that are disliked by your commentors while stories that are much more interesting, important and news worthy while recieving 80% + of popular vote on the site are not making the the top stories. What is the formula? Cause Im not seeing democracy in action on the site.
What is up current??? What would Al do? Watch the video on the link I provided, and see if you are living up to the words and ideals that he is speaking of. He is asking us as citizens to be more engaged in democracy, and current has created a site with a democratic process for the news, so how bout you guys follow it?
Keep up the good work that this site started as an alternative media outlet that discussed the important stories that mass media wasnt covering, and leave the fluff crap to tabloids and USA Today. I doubt anyone comes to this site to read stories about Hello Kitty or Oreos, and if they do, they should be in the wrong place
thanks
end of rant... -
I wish this would happen on the 405 in LA. then LA might see some very satisfied drivers =]
