"Corporate Media is influencing the 2008 presidential election by trying to
control your vote. Why? Because they are controlled by those who want to push
their own financial and political agendas."
Interesting stuff.

Kiko......I liked what you did a lot and that you care enough to do it........it comes across I believe that you might be a Ron fan......he is exactly what this country needs and deserves.....the only problem being that the president has evolved into something that no person in their right mind would want or accept....that leaves out quite a few very well intentioned people .......Leaving what you see today.....While I am ranting...one term..six years....with a requalification yearly...Why should the taxpayer pay for a president to campaign while he is president....Robert Kennedy Jr. would make a great president...great invironmentalist.....he wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole...he has seen too much.....many people have taken power over the years on different parts of this planet without asking any bodies permission......then the light went on.....why not sooth them by letting them think that it is their choice..........you can not tell me that the American people can not come up with a way to have all people vote and count all votes.......with one percent in we project the winner....BULLPATOOKE..........Bank of America could count the votes......Don't that sound American.......deposit one dollar in my account for Democrat....two dollars for republican....I would make sure your money went to a good cause...........Golden Ruler......Will.........Will..Not..Will.....Not........................

it's so sad to see that if you aren't rich you won't be voted for. we should be voting for people based on their character, not for how many times we see their name on the screen, IF it's even shown.
-
Thanks guys, i appreciate your opinons, spread the word i want to see how many repsonces and votes it takes to make the news. cheers :)
-
fox new is by far the most biased, the guy that runs it used to work on the bush campaign.
fair and balanced my azz -
kiko
If this is yours my guess is very few. If someone elses far more.
Very good video.-

Well done and truly informative.
I would also like to include what I call Democracy Inc. – the RNC and DNC who consistently collaborate to squelch any voice that does not follow the respective party’s lead.
Ralph Nader is the original outsider. He wrote a book about his experiences and how to beat Democracy Inc. -
Go Ralph!!!
-
Excellent and right on target. The two party system combined with a complicit media has done much to deteriorate real Democracy in this country.

Guys kinda embarrassed but I got to say I didn’t make this, I wasn’t sure about the rules on submitting content for the news, this is the first thing I posted that I didn’t do myself and contained such an important message I wanted to spread the word…
Apologies
Kiko -
kiko_deep, thanks for the post. Great message! No matter who you favor as a presidential candidate you should feel outraged that the mainstream media frames the debate by keeping viable candidates from the discussion.
@ Virtual_Will_Rogers, keep the Virtual_Gulf_Headliners comin'! -

it's ok to spread the word, if you believe it... and, kiko_deep, that IS a WONDERFUL video! [imnsho] ;)
i supported Paul initially, then lost the faith when i heard that if he dropped out of the presidential race, the donated money would go to the RNC, which wasn't exactly where i wanted my money to go.
i could have written better speeches for him for the debates than he delivered, and i'm ashamed of myself for supporting him. some of his ideas are fine, but the delivery and carry-through were terrible.
@jubal... "Ralph"?????? shoot me first, thanks. if your counter to Ron's constitutional slant is Ralph's socialism, well... YOU enjoy it... i'm outa here... but you knew that. -
Hate to say it, but Corporate Media isn't the primary blame for the rigid two-party, populist system we have. We're a traditional nation that pushes for only two parties. Furthermore, there are rules about ballots and debates that require a minimum vote percent, so candidates with lower numbers aren't included. I'm not endorsing a two-party system, but American history shows that three-party systems fail or die off and that underdog politicians are pressured to drop out early in the primaries.

posting another article, link, or pod is OK for the .com site, I just would say you might want to feature the author, or reference the pod details.
you may find it is your work they want for TV.
finding the time to produce great PODS is no small trick.
you might want to interview the POD owner, via e-mail or phone, on this one because it is very good.
Dr. Paul is a pretty cool dude but I don't care for his part y selection. He makes a much better Dem. in my view.
To each his or her own. As for the two party system.
There is one solution an that is clean elections.
IF you take the money out of the race, the race becomes about the issues ONLY.

Ya, another poorly created youtube video from one of the "cult" of Ron Paul. While yes the media is biased, Ron Paul didn't have the support of the Republican party. He is a libertarian, so its not surprising that he got excluded.
The media is what it is. Nothing is going to change the great circle of lobbing and commercial control that exists in this country. For the most part, the greater part of the country doesn't seem to care about being spoon fed.-

plusaf, come on... Paul is good enough for Jim Rogers (at 4:30 in video). :-) Keep the faith, write the speeches. Get them to the Revolution March!
-
I thought it was an amazingly well done video considering it was a Ron Paul commercial. I really like Ron Paul, I just ordered his Manifesto from Amazon; decided to give it a look see.

Publicampaing.org is a pretty interesting website with lots of information and links.
Being outspent by a privately funded candidate on the Federal level seems risky. There would need to be additional rules at the Federal level to deal with this issue. -
Once again I must ask, is anyone suprised by this?
-
Thank God There are people like you who actually understand what's going on and see what the reality is in this so call campaign...

@JohnA.... nope, not I... it's been that way all MY life....
as for publicly-finded campaigns, consider this: back when the "checkoff" was just ONE dollar, i always checked the box... i thought that, as a frustrated taxpayer, it was pretty much the ONLY dollar of my taxes that i could actually CONTROL....
not true! as a registered Libertarian, i realized that no Libertarian Party candidate would accept public funding dollars in any election, AND that "my dollar" would end divvied up between the two "major" parties.
so, in the end, i had no control over the destiny of my dollar! and just as little as the "checkoff" number was increased. after that realization, i have never checked off the public financing box again. neither has my wife, for the same reason, and she's a registered Democrat. she can't know if some part of those dollars will be going to the Opposition Party, either!
something like the insanity of election rules where voters can cross party lines and vote in the primaries of the "opposing party."
talk about disenfranchising!! if i were a Democrat [OR Republican] why in the Flying Spaghetti Monster's Name would i EVER want the opposition party voting in MY primary?!?!?
can you find any logic that can justify that? i can't.
here's another idea.. you want to see people vote? ask your legislators to set aside $200 million for a Voting Lottery.
50 states would each have two $1,000,000 winners selected at random, and ONE winner would get $100,000,000. And how about making the winnings Tax-Free?
I'd bet every one of my future Social Security checks that the voter turnout would make the statistics in EVERY previous US Presidential election look downright silly!
LOL! -
Great post/video...but hasn't the corporate world run things to begin with? If the whole country of eligible voters VOTED, we may have change. So, get out and vote peeps! Thanks kiko!

Major network coverage of presidential elections has been criminally superficial and biased. The relationship between democratic government and free speech is at a critical point right now... the candidates do what the media says during an election, and the press then acquiesces to government leaders in office.
Something has to happen this year. If this old-school debate format between Obama and McCain succeeds in cutting out the mainstream media then I'm all for it. And hopefully if Obama does become President he will take his success with the internet in the campaign and turn it into something that makes government more democratic.-

Totally agree. It's very discouraging and enraging.

this is a great video. I just really hope that more people will not only think about the media manipulation of the election but act on it as well. we really do deserve a better way of getting the news. (oh wait we do, thanks Current!!)
