The 6-foot-4 forward solidified her standing by turning in the most impressive debut in WNBA history with 34 points and nearly recording a triple-double with 12 rebounds and eight assists in a thrilling opening-day win over the Mercury. After one game she leads rookies in each of those categories. It is only one game so far, but if Parker keeps this up, she may be a serious candidate for MVP in addition to Rookie of the Year.
