the most fascinating thing about this is that the Judge is offerning him one month off of his sentence for every million bucks he swindled...one $300 million check and he walks off scot-free!

We can't forget about his best creation *NSYNC!!
If he has the money he needs to pay it back, then he can get out early! Lucky him to get the offer! -
This guy had douche bag written all over him from the moment his face hit the small screen

Formulaic boy bands to formulaic scams...this guy knows how to manipulate large crowds into believing things that aren't real. He should start a cult next.
-
I love the logic in his sentencing. It’s equivalent to letting someone sit through a green light to cancel out running a red light.

Ah, Big Fat Lou. Couldn't have happened to a better person.
-
He's not giving any money back because he's hoping to get out of jail early.

lou should not pick up the soap in prison , and should immediately make friends with any gang willing to accept payoffs for his protection - and in any instance where his cell-mate might feel inclined to consider lou his bitch , lou better take it like a man .
-
I think he's probably looking forward to the jail time and 'networking'. I'm sure he'll be damned if he lets a bunch of prisoners in the Philipines out perform/dance his country.
Go America! Go Lou!! Thanks for taking one (or a few) for the team! -
it's R Kelly's turn

Once again, America sends someone to prison for an insane length of time for a non-violent offense. Why are our priorities so out of whack? This is bullshit.
Don't get me wrong, I want swindlers and scammers to be punished, especially if they're cheating people poorer than themselves. But we should really get them where they live: the punishment should be 25 years of community service and the seizure of all his wealth (every last dime) and its redistribution first to his victims and then to the community. (His list of victims would be very long especially if you include everyone who has ever had to hear music by 'NSync or Backstreet.)
The idea that he would have the option to KEEP any of his money is ridiculous! -
Blazesboy, I 100% agree with your comment. But you shouldn't have brought the music into it, because I think a giant herd of teenage girls is ready to imprison you now, too. Better run & hide!
-
Was going to comment...Blazeboy voiced my opinion better than I could have.
And joking about anyone getting raped is quite distasteful...in my opinion.
:) -
Even though the sentence is really long for something non-violent, he can literally pay his own bail with the $300 million he took from others, assuming he still has all of it.

I wish they would've sent him to gitmo. He deserves to be there.
-
Day2Day, how is 25 years easy?
-
He should get the death penalty for giving us the Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC. Then he should be sent to prison for robbing old people.

It's good to see justice being done. It seems as time goes on it happens less and less often.
