I will Support a Memorial Day for our Armed Forces, but I want to make it clear that I do not support this War.

I'll Pray for our Soldiers Three times:

    1. To give them hope to continue to obey his/hers duties to serve in times of wrong doings.

    2. To give them courage and patience.

    3. My Third Prayer goes to the American People to together Unite to STOP this War and bring back home our Soldiers.

If we did not engage in wars we would not need to hear these sad sounds. I will hope for that.

Kaj Thank you for your service. Know that we honor and respect that. And feel your frustration with our system but we know that you are acting with great intentions.
    Your quote here is correct:

"A nation that draws too great a divide between its warriors and its scholars, will have its thinking done by cowards and its fighting done by fools"

Thanks stopnoise for the reminder of of what Memorial Day really means. I will send this around to my list. It is so easy to forget with the everyday distractions of life. I almost always go to a local Memorial Day parade and listen to Taps.

I also reminded of the Kennebunkport Peace Marches I attended. I had the honor of meeting several people who had lost loved ones recently and were open wounds.

What these men, these soldiers, this honor guard does for the families and friends of fallen fellow soldiers is a graceful tribute to them. So respectful and caring.
